Went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful delicious dinner. Best Italian food I ever had. I had the veal parm and it was unbelievable and I can't wait to go back. The service was excelent as they kept checking on us if we needed anything and they always refilled the water when needed. I highly recommend La Summa!!!

Great food! Great atmosphere! Fair prices in an otherwise expensive restaurant area. Go here for the real Italian cuisine without the bloated check. Our waiter was a bit old and slow at times but he was very nice and its hard to hold it against him. Overall would definitely be back.

My friend and I decided to head out for a nice dinner in the North End on a Friday night, and were wandering the streets when we saw La Summa! Recommended by a friend, and with only a ten minute wait, we were hooked. The hostess was extremely nice, and true to her word we were quickly seated. But when our waiter realized that we were only drinking water his demeanor changed a bit and he was a bit less friendly (we were in T-shirts and look like typical college kids I'm sure). Nevertheless my Fettuccine Alfredo was very very good, although I would have preferred some more peas (I love peas, plus it was the vegetarian version). The starter bread was also tasty, and the next day I found myself looking forward to my lunch of leftovers! Overall great food, but didn't appreciate the not overtly rude but not as welcoming as if we'd been older/richer-looking service. I would return!

Authentic italian food with a magnificent taste at a bearable price. Situated nicely in a small, uncrowded street on the North End. Worth the visit!

I went to La Summa with my girlfriend for her 21st birthday. It was a great night. Very quaint and nice setting. The food and service was excellent. The servor was particularly friendly. The food was awesome. I've been to other places in the North End where iI've been rushed in out of the restaurant and given sub-par service and mediocre food. This is not the case at La Summa. They genuinely cared if we had an enjoyable experience which is will definitely make me return.

First off, the service was super-b. It is a family restaurant, nothing fancy, but, boy, do they know how to make pasta. The linguine I had was delicious! So, next time you are walking around the north end for lunch, go to La Summa for a great experience.
