Today SNGIST and Mathrubhumi jointly organized coloring competition for KG students at SNGIST campus. Accompanied by parents around 400 students from different schools attended the program. The competition started at 10.00 a.m The prize distribution ceremony was attended by cine artist Shri Majeed, Mathrubhumi Regional manager B Gopakumar, SNGIST Chairman C.K.Renjan, Director of SNGIST Dr. K.S.Divakaran Nair and Mr. Sreejith . Prof Geo Baby, Dean FMS delivered the welcome address and Mr. Akash V V, student, FMS proposed the vote of thanks. 13 students were given consolation prizes and first prize was bagged by Master Anto Koottala. SNGIST celebrated the Constitution Day on 26th November 2015 which marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 which later came into effect on 26 January 1950.It also marks the 125th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar
Facts on the Constitution of India:
The Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949, while it came into force on January 26, 1950
The Constitution of India was not typeset or printed but was handwritten and calligraphed in both English and Hindi
The original copies of the Constitution of India are kept in special helium-filled cases in the Library of the Parliament of India
Indian Constitution is known as a bag of borrowings
The concepts of Liberty, Equality and Fraternity were taken from the French constitution
The concept of five year plans was taken from the USSR
The Directive principles were taken from Ireland
The law on which the Supreme Court functions was taken from Japan
It is the longest written constitution of any independent country in the world
The Constitution of India contains 448 articles in 25 parts, 12 schedules, 5 appendices and 98 amendments
The Constituent Assembly had 284 members, out of which 15 were women
The draft was submitted in November 1949. After the submission, it took three more years to complete it
All the 284 members of the Constituent Assembly signed the documents on January 24, 1950
The constitution came into effect on January 26
The national emblem of India too was adopted on the same day
Indian constitution is known as one of the world's best constitution especially since it has only seen 94 amendments.

SELL ME THE ANSWER @ SNGIST!
Assistant Professor Ms. Aarathy A S of the engineering department organized a quiz show in the model of 'Sell Me the Answer', the much acclaimed show telecast in Asianet. The 'show' was held on 31st October 2015, between 3 and 4 pm at the Seminar Hall.The audience consisted of DDMCA first semester students. The market of knowledge helped to enhance the cognitive, analytical and logical skills of the students.

Glitter, glamour, wisdom and Innovation at SNGIST B School!!
Zeitgeist, 2K’15 which literally means “Unleash the spirit’ - The 2 day Management fest held at SNGIST concluded on October 28th 2015. The fest was vibrant with a brilliant combination of glitter, glamour, wisdom and innovations. 
The fest was inaugurated by Shri Tom Jos IAS, Principal Secretary, Labour & Skills Department, Government of Kerala on October 27th 2015. The 2 day National Level fest witnessed participation from around 30 B schools and 250 participants across the country. 
Various games like Business Quiz, Mr CEO contest, Marketing game, HR game, Finance game, Environment game and Theme show were conducted. The overall champions were from Rajagiri College of Applied Sciences. Mr CEO was one of the highlights of the event and the same was bagged by Mr Harikrishnan R of Rajagiri College of Applied Sciences. The Marketing game toppers were also the same college who acquired both the 1st and 2nd prizes. The Environment game winners were Rajagiri College of Applied Sciences and runner-ups were the team from UIM, Kollam. The Finance game winners were UC College, Aluva and the second prize winners were SNGCE. The HR game toppers are the team from SNGCE and the second prize winners were from Marthoma College. 
The theme show was one of the main highlights of the event that added glamour and innovation to the whole fest. The winners were the team from Bharat Mata College. Many eminent personalities from the industry, academics as well as from film industry were part of the judging panel for all the games.The Valedictory Ceremony took place at SNGIST Auditorium on 28th October 2015.

Zeitgeist 2K'14 Inauguration Ceremony on October 27th 2015. 200 participants from over 30 colleges contested in various games for the fest.
