Great beers and ciders and the best nachos in town. Meridian Pint is a great laid back neighborhood bar with a huge selection of beer and a pretty decent cider selection as well. And though the veggie chili nachos are a food splurge, they are so worth it. Their homemade lentil burger is also pretty decent and for a bar they definitely have some unique vegetarian food options.

So this place is a great beer bar, possibly the best in DC. They have a huge draft selection with a ton of local stuff and their menu very clearly gives all pertinent information needed by the discerning beer snob. Also they do this "beermergency" thing on Monday nights. All the kegs they are looking to empty and clean the lines on, they drop the prices. So if you are looking to sample some new styles keep that in mind. Meridian is no slouch on the food side either. They have an appropriately sized menu for a bar and with the expected lineup (wings, nachos, burger, etc.). The last time I went for the full dinner experience, I got the soft pretzels and the fish n' chips, and my guest got the thai noodle salad with steak. The pretzels are heaven. They were soft and buttery and I wanted save the beer cheese dipper for my fries, but it all go consumed on the pretzels. My guest had a small issue with her salad, the steak came out a very rare for her tastes, but the sever deftly handled the problem. The end verdict on the salad was the steak was wonderful, but the salad itself was too spicy. My guest admitted that her issue could be simply due to her dislike of spicy food. MY fish and chips on the other hand was wonderful. The pacific cod was fried to a nice crisp. The batter was had just enough salt and the fish was fresh and clean tasting. The fries were great for fresh cuts, and the slaw was just right. I would suggest food wise to stick to the bar classics, but you don't just have to come here for the beer. Also one thing to note, our server Heather was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable of the menu, was prompt, pleasant, and took our dining experience over the top.

Really good, solid American fare, really good, solid brews with a passion for localism. The folks at Meridian Pint are true community lovers who go above and beyond to support local businesses, friends, and neighbors. Even if you don't like the food and beer (which, would make you a crazy person), go to support the kind of business that cares about making DC a great place to live.

Delicious food, good local beer (and you can essentially make your own flight with their 4oz serving options), and a great space. On-street bike parking right outside is a big plus as well.

Awesome beer selection, great service, and decent bar food. It can get really loud when its very crowded but if you go on a weeknight, you are sure to have a great, hearty meal and enjoy a hard to find local beer. Great for groups, wouldn't recommend their brunch.

Prices are pretty high in my opinion. The food is good but I have had many items that taste like something I'd make on a first attempt (I do ok in the kitchen but I don't have a future as a chef, or even a cook). I'm a liquor or cider drinker so my drinking experience here is very different from most patrons. I never know how strong the pour will be or what size I'll be getting, which isn't a good business practice. Why do I keep coming back? I have a lot of beer drinking friends and whiskey tastes the same here as it does at any place.

I came here for Saturday brunch and ordered the breakfast tostada, which is two eggs in any style you want, black beans, local pork chorizo, avocado, Chipotle sour cream, and tomatillo salsa. I asked for my eggs over easy and was rewarded with a heaping pile of goodness. There was a giant deep-fried tortilla topped with black beans and then my eggs cooked exactly to what I asked for, and then doused with sour cream, salsa, and avocado on top. The chorizo was on the side. It was really good and filling. I ate every last bite of my tostada and was pleasantly satisfied. Only downside to brunch was that the service was a bit slow, although it was a Saturday morning on St. Patrick's Day weekend. Can't speak to the beers but it looks like they have a decent selection. 3.5 stars.

This has, hands down, the best selection of beer within DC. The vibe is lively, the decor is clean, and the crowd ranges in ages. Additionally, the food is solid. Meridian Pint is the perfect place to grab a drink (or a meal) with close friends.
