Google Hangouts is fun! Pretty intuitive, and relatively smooth audio-video quality. Caught up with an ex-colleague of mine after ages. Ironically it was the first time I'd spoken to him face to face, given that he was based in Singpore when we worked together!

That's a G+ feature--nothing that I've specially done.  :)

Simple but very comfortable rooms, limited but decent breakfast buffet, good pool, centrally located.

Secluded, laid back, great access to the beach and super view of the sunset. Also good seafood.

A lovely getaway that's barely about 90 minutes from suburban Bombay. The main house is large, with a super huge hall that's great for hanging out and chilling with friends and family. There are newer rooms separate from the main house, but we didn't book those so can't comment on them. The meals are very homely and delicious, prepared by the on-location caretaker. There's a moderately sized pool on the property, with a big adjoining deck to hang out at--great for a post sundown singing, lounging or stargazing session. Also, the property has a separate 'gaming' structure complete with pool table, table tennis, board games etc--you'll never want for activity here. Only thing is that the house, pool and indoor activity area are at different levels on the property, which involves a bit of walking down a flagstone pathway. Not an issue for young folks, but can be cumbersome if older people who are less mobile plan to visit. Also, the place has no special access considerations for disabled people. Otherwise, highly recommended for a weekend away with family or friends.

A very offbeat dining experience. Great food and ambience. Better suited for younger people though (older folks may find it difficult getting into and out of the dinghy boat during the transfers).
