For anyone curious about the "Easter Egg" in the Newsletter for Show #699.

Clicking the fat guy would bring you to a special donation page.

Congrats to the dude named Ben, for finding it!

Most journal editors know how much effort it takes to persuade busy researchers to review a paper. That is why the editor of The Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry was puzzled by the reviews for manuscripts by one author — Hyung-In Moon, a medicinal-plant researcher then at Dongguk University in Gyeongju, South Korea.
When a handful of authors were caught reviewing their own papers, it exposed weaknesses in modern publishing systems. Editors are trying to plug the holes.

I've noticed that progress bars in the Notification drop down are barely visible.  Is there anyway to maybe lessen the background of the grey progress bar, so that the colored bar can be seen easier?

Love the theme otherwise, and can't wait for full dark mode!

Ageist!  "..The congressman with the made-for-headline puns last name was first elected to Congress at age 27—the youngest member of Congress at the time. Handsome and fit, he immediately attracted a lot of attention and stood out of the largely geriatric landscape..."
The handsome congressman had an astounding fall from grace—but don’t assume he was the only one cheating taxpayers.

I really enjoyed working with Balloon Queen during my last trip to Toronto! Came in from Portland, Oregon for business, and we needed A LOT of balloons for our big event. They were able to help me out, and were very friendly. Glad to have found them, and I will certainly be recommending them in the future!
