Is it me or does it seem like apple won largely on the strength of its goodwill in the eyes of the American public?

Delicious thai food is generally not difficult to find in Bangkok, and can mostly be had for next to nothing. Smooth Curry is one of the few places we went to where we actually dished out a fair amount of Bhat for a meal. That being said, the meal fully justified the price. We had the red curry with king prawn and the green curry with fish balls. The restaurant makes all of their curry in-house so it all tastes amazing. The service is also exceptional, and the waitresses are incredibly attentive. When we went, there was actually a private party occupying the main dining room, so we were offered a private room in the Japanese restaurant next door (within the hotel). The room normally has an extra cost, but the waitress very kindly waived it for us, and when the main dining room had space, she graciously offered to relocate us. We were all very impressed, and had a wonderful time there. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful roof top bar on the 61st floor. Amazing views of the city at night from and great drinks as well. Fair warning, though, since this is a rooftop you face the chance of rain. A few drops actually began to pour while I was there, so I recommend going on a clear day.
