A cool vibe to the place. Simple but distinctive decor. They have a big selection of beers, both craft and otherwise. But their main attraction to me is their sandwiches, or sandies. Gourmet grilled cheeses would be the best description. I've tried most of them but my favorites are the Caprese, the H.A.M. and the Big Ass Grilled Cheese. Consistently great and that counts for a lot with me. Good service from the rather hip waitstaff.

This place was awesome. I had the F.Y.D.H, the seasonal salad, and some local beers. Simple&delicious done right! Atmosphere gets an A+ too.

Came here with my little brother, James, April 18th, of 2014. So good!!! Got the Okie Poutine, 'cause you don't go to The Mule and not get it. James was immediately sworn to this hipster delicacy. Then our sandwiches came. My gracious cuckold vixen-was it out of this world! James had the Macaroni Pony, which is absolutely the perfect introductory entree to delight in when attending this dive for the first time. I however, ordered the Big Ass Grilled Cheese with Bacon. Dare I say 'Pecan Smoked Bacon'? Yes, indeed I do dare, and achieve at it, as do the owners of this place which "liked it before it was cool". Aye, Pecan Smoked Bacon. The compilation of cheeses, bacon, and sourdough went well dunked in the tomato soup that it came with. Certain yourself that I drowned that melt in that bisque like a (insert hipster comparison here). This all washed down splendidly with Moose Drool, which was an incredible ending to an incredible journey. James and I weeped uncontrollably the whole stroll back to the truck, knowing that we were leaving this delightful treat. Rest assured however, that this wouldn't be the last time we would appreciate the true local art that is The Mule.

The food was phenomenal - we got cheese curds as an appetizer, a Moscow Mule to drink, and tomato soup and sandies for the meal. Everything was so delicious, but our server was so incredibly rude. Not just poor service but really poor attitude as well. I would go back for the food but hopefully wouldn't have the same server.

Grilled Cheese For Grown-ups is what you will find in the hip bar with outdoor seating in a cool neighborhood. It's hard for the menu to describe the delicious sandwiches, so go ahead and order any of the melts for a cheesy good time. I wend for the soup side in place of the great looking fries and onion rings and today's soup was full of veggies and beef.

The Mule is a great place to eat. It's small inside, so loud when it's crowed. It's a perfect pub style atmosphere with food to match. Get there early, because chances are there will be a wait. The food is worth waiting for. The Plaza has limited parking, but if you're willing to walk a block or two it won't be an issue. All and all, a wonderful and unique pub addition to Oklahoma City culinary culture. Everyone will recommend the Macaroni Pony; but if you like spicy, I say go for the Cortez.
