This hipster sandwich place is rich in taste with a heavy serving of delicious. You typically get a server who is one of those hipsters that are super eager to serve you. Not like some hipster places where they act like they don't give a damn. Not that this makes or breaks a hipster joint, it's just those are typically your two options of hipster service. You can't go wrong with the macaroni poni or the turkey. Also, the place has the best tomato soup (who even says that?) and great cheese curds. Also, if your server doesn't have any piercings or tattoos, your meal is free. Kinda cool promo. I defy you to find a more delicious sandwich. Seriously good stuff.

It changed my life. I mean I'd been hearing good things about The Mule since they opened - but the Plaza District is a bit off the beaten path and for someone from Norman...just don't get up that way too often. Wish I'd gone sooner. Won't be long before I go back. Appetizer: fried cheese curds served with ranch and marinara. Don't need the ranch and marinara. These things were perfect. Light and airy and cooked to just the right level of golden brown. Mouth is watering just thinking about it. I partook of the Macaroni Pony. It was just crazy enough to work. And work it did. I don't know how they're baking up jalapeno cornbread in a loaf - but they are and it's perfect. The pulled pork was cooked to just the right level of doneness and was moist and flavorful. The mac'n'chee rounded it out perfectly. Fries appeared to be of the frozen-breaded variety. But it seems they make them their own by, again, cooking them perfectly and then adding just a bit of cinnamon - which totally works. I'd still rather have fresh cut - but these will do. Dining companion #1 had the Fancy Pants. Again - perfection. She really likes the chicken/pear/brie harmony. Dining companion #2 had the Big Ass Grilled Cheese. Apt name. Cheese oozing out of it. The accompanying tomato soup was beautiful with some thin sliced fresh parm on top.If you're wondering whether you should go - just go. Now.

One of the best local spots in the city. Great sandwiches. Good drink selection. Good cocktails. I recommend this place to a lot of people. Not very big, so trying to get in on a busy night can be tough.

The Mule has always been a favorite of mine on The Plaza. I think they have really good sandwiches, and they are definitely some eclectic combinations of ingredients, but they all work beautifully! The Bar is good, but it is the only reason that they got a 4 star rating. They have decent cocktails if you stick to the menu, but I wouldn't recommend ordering classics that aren't on the menu. There is no reason, however, to not give The Mule a try.

The sandwiches are awesome. They have so many options, anyone can find something they like. They are even vegan-friendly. The place gets a little crowded on weekends, but service has always been good for us.

That big ass grill cheese is crazy good. And a pretty big selection of craft beer. Not too many seats so you might have to stand and drink. Depending on the night.

This place is amazing!! I usually hate gluten free bread and they somehow managed to make it taste normal! I would recommend this place to anyone especially those with a gluten allergy.
