This summer we're offering a special museum experience in the Van Gogh Museum - our new 2 hour programme allows you to look, discover and take inspiration from the much-loved highlights of the permanent collection AND to spend some time in the summer temporary exhibition 'Van Gogh, Rousseau, Corot: In the Forest'.

What's more, there is also time for you and your family, friends or colleagues to spend some time looking closely and doing some hands-on art exercises inspired by Van Gogh's style and processes. Our specialist Thinking Museum educators will teach you how to observe more by drawing and take a fresh look at the artwork of Van Gogh. You may even leave the Museum with your own expressive landscape in Van Gogh style!

Booking now until 10 September - don't miss out!

They are among the most sophisticated, mysterious and unknown works of Dutch art and tinier than a few millimetres: Dutch micro-carvings of figurines, shrines, coffins, skulls & prayer nuts from the Middle Ages. Small is beautiful!

There are about 130 examples of Dutch micro-carvings still in existence today. No fewer than 60 of them will be on display at the Rijksmuseum during the 'Small Wonders' exhibition, from 17 June to 17 September. (PS Don't forget your glasses!)

Read our new blog about these amazingly intricate wood carvings.

Thorny subject: How much information should you share on a guided tour? How much is too much? Are you a one-way drone-fest, a walk-and-talker or a less-is-more type of guide?

What if we could include great content on tours but not make the programme or tour dependent upon it? Read 'Information Overload: How much is too much?" to find out more.
