Round 7 of 7: Amelia's new novel is coming out in March 2012. The traditional book tour involves traveling & reading, but never the doing of these two activities simultaneously. Fortunately Amelia is not one to be bound by precedent. (Also, we're announcing a NEW NO PERCH READING in the next few days! It'll be astronomical.) http://noperch.org/amelia-gray/

Round 6 of 7: Some people have done readings in elevators. Mary Hamilton only does a reading in an elevator if it involves motor vehicles capable of driving down the LA expressways. http://noperch.org/mary-hamilton/

Round 5: My favorite chance juxtaposition so far in the No Perch Reading Series happens at 11:00 in Matthew Cooperman's video. "To consider persons and events and situations only in the light of their effect upon myself is to live on the doorstep of hell" + giant machinery. See more chance juxtapositions involving him & Aby Kaupang at Counterpath (i.e., in Denver) tomorrow night at 7 pm. http://noperch.org/matthew-cooperman/

Round 4: Gus Mircos reads a novel with choice mistakes and a hurricane of bees. Telling you these facts seems to misrepresent the novel. Does reading a novel in a broken car mausoleum misrepresent that novel? What does one subtract from the experience of "reading" before one can call it "reading"? http://noperch.org/gus-mircos/

Serena Chopra was in 10 auto accidents between the ages of 16 and 17. Then she won a car. Later she read her poetry completely surrounded by broken cars and an interstate of less broken cars. "I say, Pick up your feet. This siren is not yet for you."

Sunshine Dempsey reads heroic epic poems in a grocery about movies you've already seen. After you watch this, you may desire to (re)watch Rambo. "This is exactly what happens when you don't give a war hero a sandwich." http://noperch.org/sunshine-dempsey/

To celebrate the new No Perch Reading Series website, we're posting one of the 2011 reader videos each day. Mathias Svalina read poetry in the closest thing that Denver has to a bodega. Come watch him read tonight with Julia Cohen & Zachary Schomburg at the Deer Pile (rm 204 above City O' City) in Denver at 7 pm.
