IntraLase and iLASIK are forms of #LASIKsurgery that involve using a laser to create the corneal flap instead of a microkeratome. Benefits of this technique include increased precision and the ability to create a thinner flap. #LASIKsurgeon

#DidYouKnow  #PRK, or #photorefractivekeratectomy , is a laser eye surgery procedure that was developed in 1986 and is still a highly effective option for patients who may not be good candidates for LASIK due to thin corneas, large pupils, or other conditions. #VisionCorrection

Refractive errors cause blurred vision and may require one to wear glasses or contacts, which can be inconvenient. For patients who would rather live without these hassles, #lasereyesurgery, including #LASIK and #PRK, may be an option. #visioncorrection

#LASIK eye surgery can reduce your dependence on #contactlenses and #eyeglasses, allowing you to see clearly. Surgeries aren't without side effects, however, which are a natural part of healing. One such side effect of LASIK is halos. Let's take a moment to consider what causes halos and how the severity and duration of the side effects can be reduced. #lasereyesurgery

There are many choices available for patients who wear #contactlenses. Contacts are more comfortable to wear than ever, and new advances continue to make contacts an option for people with various types of refractive errors.

Routine #eyeexams are important in maintaining the health and optimal function of your eyes. Many people believe that if they are not experiencing vision problems, than they do not need eye exams. This is not true. Many eye conditions do not produce noticeable symptoms until they are in very advanced stages.

Although #LASIKsurgery has successfully improved the vision of millions of patients worldwide, a significant percentage of patients choose to not undergo this life changing procedure. Why? In many cases, it is because of the cost of surgery. Read on to see different costs of #LASIKSurgeon

Laser eye surgery can address a number of different vision problems, and while the surgery affects the cornea of the eye rather than the lens, LASIK can be used to treat #presbyopia. #LASIK #Laservisioncorrection

RIP OFF!!!! I had an eye exam back in February 2012 and I was asked if I would prefer to pay them and then get a refund from my insurance company or if I wanted to pay AFTER they got paid from my insurance company. I opted to pay them on the spot and wait for a refund. At the same time I also bought a pair of eye glass for over $900! Not knowing anything about eye glasses I figured that was the going price. Later that week I found the same exact eye glasses with the same lenses for $300! Not at just 1 other store, but at ALL other stores. Thats a 200% markup! To make matters worse, today, June 25th 2012, I received ANOTHER invoice from them for $95.63. Supposedly my insurance didn't pay them enough (even though I had already paid them in full after my exam) and they pocketed my refund from the insurance PLUS a 200% eye glass mark-up, and 6 months later they want an additional $95.63. All for a 30minute eye exam and a pair of $300 glasses. I explained the above to Phil (who answered the phone) but he was just interested in getting paid. I paid and informed them I would never be back, but they couldn't have cared less.
