AR-15 fail on TV.
Re-watching "The Blacklist" Season 3, Episode 2. This guy, with his eye against the red-dot sight, and the stock collapsed way too short for him, caught my eye and ruined the scene for me.
I really wish they'd give some of these extras just a LITTLE instruction on how these rifles and sights work. Most people in that business have never fired a gun in their lives (my family are all in the TV production industry).

So, carrying a gun never saves lives, huh?
Thank goodness for this guy. Thank goodness he trained. Thank goodness he didn't decide to leave his gun at home since he was driving to California!

I wanted to try out the "rubber band and rattle can" camo method, so I painted my kids' Mossberg 715T 22LR.  It came out pretty good.  The only real downfall to the method is that rubber bands can't mask in hollow areas, like the bottom portion of the buttstock.  I removed the side rails on the fore end to make it work better.  I like it without them, anyway.

The layers of paint also made the already stiff magazine release almost immovable.  I added a spacer, which seems to have it back to its barely-useable original state.

I removed the Chinese knock-off sites, and the actual gun parts from the gun's plastic shell.  i also removed the parts from the plastic magazine shell.  Then, I reassembled the plastic shells and painted the gun shell, the magazine shell, and the sites separately.

Video from a recent business trip. The marina looked so beautiful on the map, I had to take my Phantom 3 Pro!

I'd say, "pardon the mess," but I feel like I'm in the majority here. ;-)

Finally starting to work with something other than PLA. ABS curls like crazy, so I built this enclosure out of 1/2" rigid foam insulation, a bunch of magnets, some hot glue, and a window salvaged from an old PC case. It's not air tight, but it keeps a good bit of heat in, and drafts out.

My latest issue is trying to raise the temp of the bed during a print. I've been getting a "THERMAL RUNAWAY" error (probably because the temp is going up too slowly). I just re-sliced the file with a higher bed temp to start with. We'll see how that works.

Maiden flight of my new mini-quad build didn't go as well as I had hoped.
Yes, the arm switch was off.  I was trying to disconnect the battery when the props spun up, for some reason.

Okay smart people, I have a puzzler for you.

I have +Peter Stoneham's dual E3D mount on my RB10.  I have been running only one extruder up until now, but had the second E3Dv6 body installed.  I had to remove my working E3D to clean out a bad clog, so I decided to go ahead and wire up my second E3D.
Until now, I've been faking the second extruder thermistor with a 100K resistor plugged into pins 5 and 6 of the second extruder ribbon cable.

I wired everything up, powered on, and got a MINTEMP.
Powered off, pulled ribbon cable, and tested between pins 5 and 6 on the mount PCB's ribbon connector: 95.7K.  So, thermistor is apparently working, and wired correctly.
Plugged the 100K resistor back into the cable, powered up, no error.
Plugged cable back into mount PCB, powered on: MINTEMP.

Cable seems good.  Thermistor seems good.  PCB seems good,,,  What am I missing?

I'm way too far away to attend, but I believe every one of these guys deserves recognition.
I've been notified that this WWII veteran, and one of the greatest generation, has no family or friends to attend his services.

Please, anybody in the area that can pay respect, please do.

If you are not in the area, please share so that this can reach people who are.

God bless.
