This is an almost quintessential tourist experience at pike street market. Get a pastry here, then a coffee at the Starbucks a couple doors down. Both places have very very long lines and are a bit overpriced. That said, the pastries are very tasty. Buttery and flakey, always warm and fresh due to the high turnover rate.

Ah, so delicious pastries!!! Although I visited there for the first time to stop my sugar craving with a "cinnamon cardamon braid" and "oscar's star," I enjoyed their "beef and onion" and "chicken/rice/mushroom" piroshkies even more. This place is addictive! For the last two weeks, I walk (to ease the guilty feelings) from SU to Pike Place Market every afternoon to get a few items from here and a cup of delicious coffee from the next door Starbucks and enjoy it while watching Seattle's beautiful view.

Their pasty is sweet and tasty as you expected, but it's also very dense and heavy, I feel like I got more than my money's worth by the weight of the pasties, one of these and I'm stuff (in a good way). Piroshki Piroshky's pastries are like most Russian food, very good but heavy, they are the exact opposite of Le pannier (light French pasties) few doors down. Try both and see if you agree.

Piroshky Piroshky is a food stop that is a must for me every time I come to the Seattle area to visit because I just love the flaky croissant like bread with the meats and veggies inside of them These can affect the stomach with a little (or lot) of gas but do NOT let that stop you from buying a few of these. When we went this time (I am a multiple time customer) my skinny wife said “I’ll take 4” LOL. I told her try two and if you still want two more I will buy them for you. The Beef & Cheddar or Beef and Onion are my favorite meat based piroshky and the white chocolate cherry or the rhubarb are my favorites. Amazing, must try food

Tiny Russian bakery with tasty baked goods. We shared a whole baked apple. As the name implies, it was a whole apple with cream in the middle and a baked pastry exterior. Messy deliciousness.

Long lines are probably the norm, but they move customers quickly. Providing a menu to the line queue helps speed this process up. The piroshkys themselves are very flavorful and filling. We had the beef & cheddar, apple swirl, and cinnamon cardamon braid. Both the sweet and savory were excellent. No comment on authenticity, remember this is Seattle not Eastern Europe.

I used to really like this place. Used to go here every time I visited Seattle. But the last few times it seems the quality has gone down. The piroshky weren't as good as they used to be. I'm very disappointed.
