Google+ Community Page Available
As soon as Google opened the new communities feature for Google+, we established a G+ community for our club. Since opening the community page, that is where we have been posting our club updates for G+ users.

We will continue to maintain the Google+ page you are reading, in order to try reaching additional members and those interested in motorcycling, but most of our organization's Google+ activity will now occur on our G+ community page.

We are limiting joining the community to those who are local members of our BMW motorcycling club. If you are a club member and would like to participate, just request an invitation. If you are not a local member of our BMW club, we hope you will continue to visit our community for new information pertaining to motorcycling, and BMW motorcycles in particular.

2012 BMW MOA Mileage Contest

For those of you who are members of the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America (BMW MOA), this is a reminder that the 2012 BMW MOA Mileage Contest ended on Sunday, October 14th.  If you are participating in the mileage contest, your Ending Form must be submitted (postmarked) by November 14, 2012.  The Ending Form was included in the October 2012 issue of the BMW Owners News.  You can also download a copy of the Ending Form from the BMW MOA web site.

Your form must be signed by two BMW MOA members in good standing, or by a BMW MOA club officer.  Be sure to bring your Ending Form to our next club ride event (being announced soon), or to the November 10th club meeting.  If you will be unable to attend either of these, contact us at ccbmwridersclub@gmail.com to arrange for sending your form for signing and mailing.

Oktoberfest Party
Club member Becky Hucks is inviting all Coastal Carolina BMW Riders Club members to an Oktoberfest party at her home near Supply, NC.  The party will be on Saturday, October 20th (rain date Sunday, October 21st), from 12 Noon until approximately 4 p.m..

Becky Hucks has a beautiful back yard that overlooks the Lockwood Folly River.  She is planning a cookout, and club members Tony Barcia and Jerry Dockery have offered to be the Grillmeisters for us.  Paul Winter is planning to have bratwurst shipped in for the event, from an "undisclosed midwest location."  Iced tea will be available, and everyone is welcome to bring a supply of their own favorite "Oktoberfest beverage."

All club members are invited!  RSVPs are being requested, well in advance, to allow Becky and Paul to gauge how much food to prepare.  If you are planning on attending, please send your RSVP to ccbmwridersclub@gmail.com no later than Sunday, October 7th.

Becky lives in a gated community, and everyone coming to the Oktoberfest Party will be sent another email, in advance of the party, with the gate access code.

This will be a great event, and we hope you will be able to come!
