I love me a good Idle RPG. For those of you not in the know, Idle games are games that more or less play themselves with minimal intervention from the player. Progress Quest, pictured above, is a silly fantasy RPG that, once you have made your character,…

My article on how the teens in my library game took on the Tarrasque is up on Gnome Stew now. It's a play by play of taking on the Tarrasque, and killing it with a rabbit.

Tackling The Tarrasque With 15 Rounds And A Rabbit

As I’ve been getting pulled farther and farther back into the D&D 5e fold, I’ve taken to running more interesting concept games alongside the longer form mini-series campaigns I like to do. I’ve also been running a lot of games for the group of teens at…

Gnome Stew, a blog I run, is up for an ENnie in best website. It would be awesome if you went and voted for us! Make sure to check out all the great nominees and other submissions, because looking at the ENnies submissions is a great way to find new things to read and listen to!

Hello Gnome Stew Readers! It's ENnies voting time until July 21st!
We'd love to have your vote for Gnome Stew in the Ennies and we'd love for you to check out the other ENnies nominated blogs and our recommendations.

We've got some great notes from our survey on what you'd like from a Gnome Stew Patreon, and we'll probably be closing the survey out at the end of the week. If you want to tell us how to do our jobs, take a few minutes out of your day and answer our Gnome Stew Patreon Survey. We'll use your answers to craft the sorts of things we create in the Patreon and cool extras (like Gnome Stew Stickers, T-shirts, and Gnome run online games) that we'll offer to readers.

This was a really good read that gives insight into why diversity and representing different experiences is so important in our media... gaming and RPGs specifically. While Inquisition is a computer RPG, I feel many of the reasons why it touched so many should be in tabletop RPGs as well. ~Ang

Hey Gnome Stew Readers. ENnies voting closes tomorrow, and we would love it if you voted for us in the Best Website category (Mark it #1). If you've already voted, then share the Stew with somebody else who might like it. Go share your favorite articles in a forum or on twitter. C'mon, all the cool kids are doing it. (Oh wait, that's Pokemon Go...)

While we would love to have your ENnies vote, we also want to point you to cool Gnome Adjacent projects.

⚫ The Misdirected Mark Podcast is up for Best Podcast
(Run by 3 Gnomes)
⚫ Focal Point is up for Best RPG Related Product.
(Written by 3 Gnomes and edited by another)

Also Gnome adjacent (if you count a tounge-in-cheek fued) are Kobold Press's very wonderful Southlands campaign options.

⚫ Southlands Campaign Setting Map in Best Cartography
⚫ Southlands Campaign Setting in Best Setting

So go check out the ENnies and vote for us if you haven't already — we greatly appreciate all your support!

This is a book I wrote with two other Gnomes
from +Gnome Stew
+Phil Vecchione and +Walt Ciechanowski. It's well worth your vote and well worth checking out.

I don’t normally put the full court press on people when the ENnies voting comes around. Normally, my annual advice is “Please go vote, and if you vote for something I worked on, great.” This year I am going to be more direct. Please vote for Focal Point…
