I was on this episode of Table Top Babble with +Christopher Sniezak, talking about big creatures, especially the Tarrasque from The Book of the Tarrasque. If you want to hear about what it takes to run a giant creature, here are some of our thoughts on it.
New #TableTopBabble! I chat with John Arcadian and Chris Sniezak about running massive monsters in combat and campaigns. The two designers just put out the critically-acclaimed Book of the Tarrasque, so they know a thing or twenty about badass beasties! https://dontsplitthepodcastnetwork.com/table-top-babble/2017/2/27/009-massive-monsters

My latest book, The Book of the Tarraque is out now through +Encoded Designs!

If you ever looked at the stat block for the Tarrasque and thought, how the hell do I DM this thing, well you now have the answer. There is advice, plans, and mods for the Tarrasque to make it one of the most memorable battles your players have ever faced.

Add on to that a full adventure featuring the Tarrasque, and you have a seriously useful book.

Go check it out!

This was a really good read that gives insight into why diversity and representing different experiences is so important in our media... gaming and RPGs specifically. While Inquisition is a computer RPG, I feel many of the reasons why it touched so many should be in tabletop RPGs as well. ~Ang

I love me a good Idle RPG. For those of you not in the know, Idle games are games that more or less play themselves with minimal intervention from the player. Progress Quest, pictured above, is a silly fantasy RPG that, once you have made your character,…

My article on how the teens in my library game took on the Tarrasque is up on Gnome Stew now. It's a play by play of taking on the Tarrasque, and killing it with a rabbit.
Tackling The Tarrasque With 15 Rounds And A Rabbit

As I’ve been getting pulled farther and farther back into the D&D 5e fold, I’ve taken to running more interesting concept games alongside the longer form mini-series campaigns I like to do. I’ve also been running a lot of games for the group of teens at…
