How serindipidous, he just started a kickstarter to get the show going again. If I had any spare money (babies are expensive) I would love to kick in a few bucks. Even though they already reached their goal.

TIL that the No Child Left Behind Act was responsible for canceling the TV show Reading Rainbow. I would love to support bringing back that show. I always thought he did an amazing job in working to get kids to read. Even when I was one. Major respect for Mr Burton.

I am not going to go into details, but a close friend of my wife (+Kari Bryner) committed suicide on Monday.

Learn the Signs http://www.suicideispreventable.org/

As someone who has also had to deal with this on a very personal level, I hope that anyone else who is in need of help can reach out to those that can. Please, put this number on your phone just as you would your local police or fire department. Having professional resources at your fingertips to help you or a friend can possibly save their life. Do not take depression or suicidal ideation lightly as it can be just as serious as a major physical injury.

+Robert Poole Made an assumption based on the fact that the permission slip had blatantly christian iconography on it, and that it was addressed from the school chaplain, much like the stuff I brought home with me when I was a kid attending a private christian school.

Granted, that was a long time ago, now. The years I attended public schools, nothing like this would have been kosher to hand out. They were very careful to keep religious stuff separate and not school sanctioned.

I hereby announce that Connor was born late last night (3/30) 6lbs 2oz and 18" tall. He is in the NICU right now as he was exhausted from labor/delivery and so they are watching his breathing a bit. But was taken off oxygen this morning and is a little scrapper. I will post some pics once we can get some good shots of him without all those wires/probes attached to him.

IMPORTANT! The 5 star ratings below are all posted/created by the management/staff! They are posted in violation of the Google ToS as conflicting interest. Disregard them completely as propaganda! Physical and mental abuse perpetrated by this institution is downright criminal. Prescribing medications AMA, known to cause horrible long-term side effects, contraindicated for what is supposedly being treated, and then utilizing "struggle session" style abuse for "therapy" when it obviously doesnt work or makes things worse. There does not seem to be any oversight to make sure that a child even belongs in such a treatment center before commencing with their "program". They still attempt to "cure" children of homosexuality! Utilization of corporal punishment is rampant. In disregard of federal law, they even open and read incoming or outgoing mail! You probly have seen the news about the "Utah Boys Ranch" reports of abuse. These people are not any better. Do yourself, and your family, a favor. Steer FAR clear of this place.

Worked for over 2 years for this company. Training was extremely basic if you could get it at all. By that I mean that I was expected to support products that I could not be authorized to use or look at. Work hours are a struggle to get anything worth having a personal life with. Time off is fought tooth and nail by management. For example: A very personal friend who also worked in the same department had to use several days of FMLA to care for his pregnant and critically ill wife. They attempted to deny the request until a letter by the Utah Labor Commission was given to upper management threatening legal action. Payroll is regularly "missed" for some people, even for months on end. Before I left, I had found that my own paycheck time had been miscalculated by payroll for as far back as I could see (that calendar year). The insurance was extremely costly with very poor coverage (Without insurance we paid about $650/month for prescriptions of 2 people. With insurance costs added in, we paid about $600/month) High performance will likely get you more work and higher demands on you rather than increased chance for advancement as more often than not, "friends" of management are more likely to get the promotion than someone who has been there longer. I was consistently in the top 3 performers of the entire department and because I worked hard was left in that position to make the company more money by making my team look good, rather than allow me to work towards any management level. I have only worked for one company worse. And they had cockroaches in the cubicle walls. (Alori**) I DO NOT recommend working for this company or employing them in any capacity. You are merely a drone-cog in the machine they care nothing for pushing until you quit and then replacing.
