The Sun continues to behave oddly. For the past decade, astronomers have noticed a substantial decrease in solar activity, with just half the expected number of sunspots. The Sun’s magnetic field has also been slow to make its expected “flip” to coincide with sunspot activity. This may be the strangest and quietest period of solar activity in the past 200 years.
Here’s what’s going on…

My personal experience is that when I try to absorb new information I will just go into full focus "perception" mode, then after letting it synthesise (preferably sleeping on it) I will wake up and apply all kinds of things subconsciously. I think this is also where symbolism comes in, we communicate with our subconscious using symbols. Sometimes I keep track of these less-than-conscious things by attaching a feeling to it, or an image, or maybe just a color, and then somehow as long as I have a way to identify it, I can fish it back out into the conscious light. That also goes for the Ni-Fi loop, that's when you get stuck between a symbol and a feeling it evokes in you. You probe deeper into what the symbol represents, probably get more symbols back, feel as teased as ever by what you're trying to find, and eventually end up dismissing it because you can't stand things that are going nowhere.
That's my personal experience, anyway; it would be cool to see if someone else has thoughts on this.
Physicists have long thought that the singularities associated with gravity (like the inside of a black hole) should vanish in a quantum theory of gravity. It now appears that this may indeed be the case. Researchers in Uruguay and Louisiana have just published a description of a quantum black hole using loop quantum gravity in which the predictions of physics-ending singularities vanish, and are replaced by bridges to another universe.
