Move Your Mood
Our physiology directly affects our psychology.
*
Frequent movement is beneficial for both Mind & Body, improving creativity, focus and efficiency. Exercise augments neurotransmitters in the brain, increasing both short & long term happiness.

Flow With It

Snowboarding has been linked to a state of euphoria that we psychologists call the Flow, a Flow State or a Peak Performance State. You've probably heard us talk about Peak Performance a lot, because it's one of our passions: how to get into it, how to stay there and what to do while in it.

Our team has found snowboarding to be one of the easiest and funniest ways to get into Flow, where everything seems so easy and natural.

Let's catch a wave

Surfing mimics life perfectly in these ways. If you’re not flexible enough in your approach to the ever-changing circumstances of life, you’re going to be constantly stressed. Maybe you’re flexible enough to live and let go, but if you’re not strong enough to keep this up over an extended period of time, you’ll eventually break down

This is why at the CliffHanger Academy, we teach you the perfect combination of power, flexibility, preparation and timing to not only catch the perfect wave but also to overcome your daily obstacles and live your best story.

Go for a Board Meeting

One of the best practices that I've heard from Outside Magazine's Top 100 places to work for is Board Meetings. Team members go snowboarding, skateboarding or surfing when they need to review projects or come up with new ideas.

These High Performing companies know that these type of board sports not only help change your Body, but your Mind also, leading to higher levels of focus, energy and creativity.

Tree hugger!

Go outside, get some fresh air, and hug a tree. Mother of nature is a hard worker and you are too. Pushing yourself to get out there is the first step towards conquering your ambitions and living a life of focus and consistency.

That's what we help you learn over here at CliffHanger Academy. So lets get up and get active!

Unlimited Horizons

One of the common traits of High Performers is their nearly limitless perspectives. They see things that others cannot and continue to look at things in different ways than most.

This type of perspective and focus is what keeps them pushing forward when others are giving up.

Looking Forward

Hope is described as one's belief that tomorrow will be better than today. Believing that tomorrow will be better gives us something to look forward to, something to strive towards, especially when today sucks.

What are you looking forward to this week(end)?

Happy Independence Day
At the core of America was: Liberty. Justice. Duty. Self-Control. Honor. Selflessness.
*
So today, while you’re grilling and relaxing with friends, remember that the comfort you enjoy now grew out of a philosophy that was made to embrace discomfort and to do the right thing, whatever the costs. Remember that the American victory over the British came first because a group of American Stoics first found victory over themselves.
* Thank you to Daily Stoic for the inspiration and reminder
