Pocketables -- Rural Roaming Preferred Program partner networks will appear as native LTE coverage for Sprint customers http://ow.ly/2JVClr
According to an unnamed Sprint executive cited by the popular S4GRU blog (Sprint 4G Rollout Updates), Sprint's recent agreement with members of the CCA (Competitive Carriers Association) will allow Sprint customers the ability to roam across the Rural Roaming Preferred Program partner networks, as if it were native coverage. In other words, this means that Sprint's LTE network is about to get a lot bigger, a lot faster.

Pocketables -- HTC One E8 to be released this Friday in India http://ow.ly/2JRDxv
HTC India might release the HTC One E8 this Friday. The Taiwanese manufacturer just sent out a press event for a launch event on July 11 in New Delhi. And even though the One E8 isn’t specifically mentioned, this seems the more likely candidate over HTC's new Desire 616

Pocketables -- Dirty Unicorns 7.7 Android 4.4.4 for the HTC EVO 4G LTE http://ow.ly/2JLrWm
Dirty Unicorns v 7.7 for the HTC EVO 4G LTE has been released bringing it up to Android 4.4.4 and a feature list that’s absurd. The latest version of Dirty Unicorns is for the Android 4.3-partition layout, so if you haven’t updated to the still-not-released-by-HTC Android 4.3 RUU you’ll be facing a series of bootloops. Pocketables -- Tip: Use Google Now to "occasionally" remind you of something http://ow.ly/2JVCls
If you're anything like me, you probably use Google Now all the time. From getting the weather, to setting alarms, to sending texts and starting phone calls - I even use it to schedule time-based and location-based reminders for myself, since my memory isn't what it used to be. But what about Google Now reminding you to do something ... occasionally.

Pocketables -- OK Google update allows correcting misheard words http://ow.ly/2JQgCe
If you’ve started using the OK Google functionality more due to the OK Google anywhere functionality that rolled out to the US last week you may be becoming increasingly frustrated at having to repeat a long voice command because Google’s voice recognition misheard words. Well now there’s a fix for that. Supposedly. Let’s say you [&hellip

Pocketables -- The dangers of trusted unsecured WiFi access points http://ow.ly/2JMvdT
Something that I’ve been noticing more and more in my town is the prevalence of unsecured Wifi access points named “xfinitywifi.” These are unsecured access points that connect you to the Comcast/XFinity network and generally will request a password on a landing page if you don’t have a connection optimizer that presents that automatically for [&hellip

Pocketables -- Another Sprint device gets WiFi calling, but still not the HTC One M8 http://ow.ly/2JJllF
Another Sprint device has just received an OTA update that enables WiFi calling - to be specific, it's the LG G Flex. It's actually a fairly small update that also adds an HD Voice icon, Google's patch for SMS security, and an updated email signature. WiFi calling is the biggest news here.

Welcome to the automated feed for G&E. Circle Pocketables for even more personal interaction, along with more gadgets news, reviews, tips, and hacks!
Introduction
Good and EVO (G&E) is dedicated to the HTC EVO series. It was created to provide readers with feature-specific reviews, accessory reviews, regular usage notes, tips and tricks, personal experiences, tutorials, and others news about the devices and the Android operating system.

G&E was founded by Jenn K. Lee, the founder and editor-at-large of Pocketables, an award-winning website about mobile devices and other portable gadgets. In April 2011, Jenn sold G&E to CrowdGather and joined the company as the Director of Content Management. Good and EVO, Nothing But Tablets, and StreakSmart were merged to become part of Pocketables in 2012.

Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jenn established G&E on May 21, 2010, after purchasing the HTC EVO 4G two weeks before it became available to the public. Knowing that many people were awaiting the phone's release, she created G&E as a way to connect with prospective buyers and share what she thought of and learned about the HTC EVO. When possible, G&E tries not to cover news that every other site has already covered and strives to create original content that will be useful to EVO fans.
