WikiCALL Team attended the 10th International AsiaCALL Conference or AsiaCALL 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand from February 9th - February 11th, 2012. We gave a presentation on "WikiCALL: Delivering free technologies to ESL teachers in Asia". The presentation attracted many attentions and feedbacks from professors, English teachers and interested participants on WikiCALL idea. WikiCALL Team will attend the 10th International AsiaCALL Conference or AsiaCALL 2011 in Bangkok Thailand from February 9th - February 11th, 2012. Mr. Ross Chafe. WikiCALL Canada, will have a presentation on "WikiCALL: Delivering free technologies to ESL teachers in Asia". WikiCALL is a collaborative website designed to assist Teachers of English as a second language to easily find and use Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL) technologies. The website will collect, organize and rate free CALL software that can be used by teachers in their classroom. It is free to use and free from advertising.

This website is being developed by One Common Language Foundation (OCLF), a Canadian registered not-for-profit organization, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

We are looking for experienced ESL teachers who can help contribute to the site's development in web design and content. By doing this, you could assist ESL teachers in developing countries to become more effective teachers. If you are interested in helping us as a focus group member for the website design or as being a contributor of CALL material, please email us at info@wikicall.org and we will keep you informed as things develop.

Career Opportunity
One Common Language Foundation is looking for a special person to join in the small, energetic and dynamic team in Hanoi. This is a full-time career located in Hanoi. Our ambitions are high, but so too are the rewards. As a Web Developer/Designer, you will be responsible for the development of the WikiCALL.org website.
A candidate is expected to have:
- At least a BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering and/or Web Development;
- Knowledge of WordPress/PHP/MySQL/jQuery, OOA/D/P concepts, experience working with MVC PHP development frameworks and Apache/htaccess an asset;
- You know cross-browser/platform quirks (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer [7.0+]) and how to handle them;
- Minimum of two years of web development/design or related field.
