How many of you have trucking in your blood? Maybe you've grown up around trucks or have always looked up to a parent or relative who was a truck driver? I discuss the phrase "trucking is in my blood" in this C1 blog post. Read it here: http://blog.c1training.com/truck-driving-job-in-my-blood/

"This school was the most welcoming school I have been to. I believe I am more prepared than I ever could have imagined. I have had plenty of training and am no longer scared of the thought of driving an 18-wheeler. I would recommend this school for anyone, and I will recommend it for friends and family as soon as I get home."

Great feedback from a recent grad! Gotta love hearing things like this.

Does CDL training and becoming a truck driver require experience driving a stick shift?  This is a question we get a lot from new students at +C1 Truck Driver Training .  In this post my co-worker, Norman Sheffield does a great job of answering this question.  http://blog.c1training.com/experience-driving-manual-for-cdl-training/

We had a student a few weeks ago create his very own mockup of the campus driving range. Don drew lines to scale with a highlighter and used chess pieces as cones. He practiced his backing technique on this mockup with an RC semi truck. Learn more about Don and his unique study technique at the C1 blog!

Sometimes, it's necessary to make sacrifices in life in order to gain something good. One of those sacrifices is going to CDL training during the holiday season. Sure, you might want to spend that time at home -- who wouldn't? But the holiday season is actually one of the best times of year to go to trucking school for several reasons. Learn more here: http://blog.c1training.com/cdl-training-during-holidays/

Pre-trip inspections are an important part of your career as a truck driver. In fact, they can make or break your success in the industry. Learn more about how pre-trip inspections impact your safety here:

The stereotypical truck driver doesn't exactly have the best image. The typical overweight, scruffy image of a truck driver is damaging to the industry as a whole and a misrepresentation of the drivers that make up this career. That's why it's so important that you make sure you're projecting a positive, professional appearance to the people you interact with on a daily basis.
