Arm, aber wenn die Medien wieder mal Hetzkampagnen gegen die ach so arbeitsscheuen Hartz4-ler kreisen lassen, regt sich keiner mehr auf?

Dear Internet,

Stop assuming that everyone is in the USA. This means when you write articles like 'Google Glass is available to everyone today!' - its not, its only available to the USA.
When you  do things like 'Its Pi Day!' or  'its Palindrome week!' - again, its not, its only in the USA where the date format is backwards.

When you have a hangout, meeting, or request work online. When somebody asks your time zone, please be specific  - 'east coast' is not a timezone, neither is 'Pacific' (I live in the pacific!)
Even saying 'CST' can be anything from -6 to +8 hours since there are multiple time zones using that abbreviation (http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/ )

Yours Sincerely
Annoyed and needing coffee

And we're live! Come and visit us :-)

OK Glass, we’re coming to the UK

Probably the question we’ve heard more than any other is: when will Glass be available outside the US? Well, we’re starting out by dipping our toes across the pond.

Beginning today, we’re extending our open beta Explorer program to the UK. The world sees the UK as a center (actually, a centre) of innovation. It has produced some of the greatest technology inventors and inventions of the last century, and people on the ground are always excited to explore new products and ideas.

So, if you are here in the UK and fancy a demo, RSVP to try Glass at our London Demo Days on June 27-28th at http://londonthroughglass.splashthat.com/ or join the Explorer Program and get Glass at www.google.co.uk/glass

We can’t wait to see you in a few days. In the meantime, get a glimpse of London life #throughglass in this video.

Excited for this addition to the team, especially for believing in an audacious goal and vision that technology should be helpful, and out of the way and not the opposite.

A letter to our Glass Explorers, from the head of Glass

My name is Ivy Ross, and I’m excited to be joining Google on Monday, May 19 to lead our Glass efforts. With your help, I look forward to answering the seemingly simple, but truly audacious questions Glass poses: Can technology be something that frees us up and keeps us in the moment, rather than taking us out of it? Can it help us look up and out at the world around us, and the people who share it with us?  I have spent my career--Calvin Klein, Swatch, Coach, Mattel, Bausch & Lomb, Gap and, most recently, Art.com--at the intersection of design and marketing, trying to answer questions like this in different ways, for different products.  But Glass is especially cool, as no one has really tried to answer them with a product like this before. That’s our job, Explorers!  I'm just getting started on Glass, but, because of all of you, and your thoughtful and smart feedback, I feel like I have an incredible head start.  And I look forward to learning even more from you, and experiencing Glass together.

Ivy Ross

Seems like she has a lot of experience that might help glass fade more into the background as passive helper and less of a foreground, for lack of a better word, extension of a phone
