Again, thank you all for trusting me with your news. Running Upfront News has been an incredible experience. I learned a lot about the world and my self over the last three years.
The end of an amazing adventure … Upfront News

Dear readers,

Today I’ve decided to close +Upfront News

It has been an honor and privilege over the last three years to bring you the stories impacting the world.

In the words of India Aire, “life is a journey, not a destination; there are no mistakes, just chances we’ve taken.”

I want to thank the team of people, past and present, that strived valiantly – day in and day out – to bring you the news without fear or favor: Alonis LeDeux, Anthony Torres, Thomas Walker, Josh Ketchen, Andre Ash, Karol Wielchowski and Al Boe.

POLITICO is reporting former President George W. Bush will not attend the Republican convention next month in Tampa

"President Bush was grateful for the invitation to the Republican National Convention," Bush spokesman Freddy Ford wrote in an e-mail to POLITICO. "He supports Governor Romney and wants him to succeed. President Bush is confident that Mitt Romney will be a great President. But he's still enjoying his time off the political stage and respectfully declined the invitation to go to Tampa."
