PATROL DRUG SEIZURE: Many of you know K9 Officer Smyder and his canine partner "Fax" from our tweet-alongs. On Wednesday night December 4th, Officer Smyder and Fax conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation and ultimately seized 102 lbs of marijuana valued at approximately $150,000. Great job by K9 Officer Smyder and Fax removing drugs from our community and preventing any profit from this load!

On November 21, 2013 between 9am and 10 am, on IH35-E between the Valley View Lane and Valwood Pkwy exits, a female driver was stopped by a dark colored 4door vehicle, possibly a Ford Crown Victoria, with dark tinted windows and blue lights on the interior of the windshield.

Unfortunately 7 drivers did NOT get the memo last night in #Carrollton on the first night of our augmented #DWI enforcement period. We appreciate the calls and help from the public last night. Help us make this a safe holiday season. Please don't drink and drive and call 911 to report suspected intox drivers. Thank you!

Patrol officers arrested an adult female driver for DWI last night after she lost control and drove into the pond at N. Josey Ln. and E. Peters Colony Rd. This occurred at approximately 7:00 pm when the Carrollton Green Belt trail that borders the pond is very full of pedestrians. We are so thankful that this selfish driver did not injure anyone else. The driver suffered minor injuries, was arrested, and was able to learn about our 24/7/365 No Refusal policy. Never think it is too early for a DWI. Officers arrested one at 7:15 am just this morning. Call 911 for any driver you suspect may be intoxicated.
