I was staying in Durham for the weekend and decided to treat myself to a pedicure. I was nervous because I am not from the area and didn't know where to go. I was greeted warmly. The staff was friend and accommodating and the work was impeccable. A beverage is serviced with your pedicure (juice, soda, water, or wine) which was much appreciated on such a hot day. In my opinion, I got a great value for my money.

I came here for a brow and lip wax, and decided at the last minute to get a basic manicure because they're so cheap. The wax was fantastic! The esthetician was friendly and did a great job-- my brows looked awesome and the waxing itself was relatively painless and super fast. Seriously, it was probably the best wax I've ever had. The man who did my manicure however was an absolute weirdo. I got the impression that he was the owner, but I'm not sure. He talked the whole time and asked me a lot of inappropriate personal questions. He talked non-stop about some self-help non-sense in a very cult-like, drank-the-kool-aid type of way. He kept trying to convince me to buy more services and upgrades even though I very clearly said "no" multiple times. It was extremely uncomfortable, and on top of everything else, he gave me a really sloppy manicure because he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. I'm tempted to return for another wax, but I don't want to risk running into the owner. What a basket-case.

I wanted a pedicure for a special occasion. I made an appointment and explained exactly what I wanted in great detail. Then, I could not find my car keys and so I was late. No problem. I was greeted warmly upon my arrival and shown where the many colors of polish were displayed. I was surprised at how many colors there were to choose from but I settled on a light violet. The spa chairs are luxurious and so comfortable. I enjoyed the back massage features of my spa chair while my feet soaked in the warm water. I chose the Herbal "Heeling" All Natural Organic pedicure with the essential oil mask and hot stone massage. I was happy that all pedicures include a plastic liner in the tub and one use only file and buffer for sanitation reasons. The lavendar oil smelled wonderful and the hot stones soothed my soles. I had requested a particular type of massage so that I would not have any sore spots or bruises. The salon owner, Tina, paid special attention to my requests and made sure that my expectations were met and surpassed. I was delighted with the results. My special occasion was made all the more special by the care and pampering I received. I will have all of my pedicures done here in the future.

This place is great! I just moved to the area and needed a regular nails salon to go to. I went to just about every nails salon around Durham, and US Nails is by far the best. I tried their gel manicure, which I was told should last about two weeks but it lasted almost a month! I'm a nurse and required to wash my hands constantly so they're always in the water. To have the nails lasted for like four weeks is just amazing. The place is well kept, clean and neat. The staffs are friendly and provided quality work. I highly recommended this place!

I went in just to get my nails painted, no manicure or anything, just a simple paint job (these days paying someone to paint your nails is almost the price as buying nail polish) and it was AWFUL! First of all the lady, I think her name was Dee..she had shorter hair, was too concerned on upselling to even pay attention to what she was doing. When i say NO I don't want gel nails, a brow wax, or a manicure, 7 times..I mean NO. Why would I trust a place to wax my eyebrows when they paint my nails like a blind 2 year old?? She told me she was going to put cuticle oil on my nails..after she painted them (you're supposed to have it done before) and that never happened. When I was paying, I guess the lady checking me out wondered why i wasn't leaving a tip because she started examining my nails..and then proceeded to wipe off all of the excess polish that was on my hands and fingers. Within 20 minute of leaving some of the paint on my index nail had come off, and I noticed that there were sides of my finger nails that had zero paint on them. This place is awful, do not go there!

First of all, let me start by saying I love going to this place. I have been going to US Nails for the past 7 years, and I have to say, I never leave the salon unsatisfied. They have been in the Durham area for over 15 years (they were formerly known as Nail Pro…which I was a client for 8 years before they relocated to this new location). It makes me angry to see how US Nails is rated and reviewed by these one-time coupon/voucher users…US Nails is a friendly, clean, and relaxing place…they do not deserve these bad reviews. If people feels that they need to spend the time to write a bad detail review about US Nails, then just to bring some justice, I feel that I need to write a good review for them because they have always been great to me…so they deserve to hear an awesome feedback from their long time regular client…not from these one-timer clients. I love this place…best salon in Durham…highly recommended!

When I first moved to Durham I tried many different salons and walked out unhappy. I have been going to US Nails and Spa for over 3 years now. When I walk in the owners greet me by name. It's so refreshing to go to a place where they actually care about you and getting to know you by name. The salon is always clean and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. When I am there I always hear the staff talking with their customers like friends so I know they are returning customers also. I am very picky about my nails and I have never once felt like I couldn't address any concerns. The nail tech that takes care of me goes above and beyond to make sure I walk out happy. I've had a color applied on a few nails and changed my mind and she had no problem with the change. They send a birthday discount and are always running LivingSocial deals. It's nice to get discounts and they understand their customer's like a 'treat'. The staff is very helpful accommodating appointments and making sure they can fit everyone in. I've brought a few friends in to get pedis with me and they too have been satisfied. They stay current with the newest trends and colors. I have had many compliments on my nails and the colors I choose.

Don't go here for Pink&White! I went in and asked how much they charge for a fill-in of both the P&W and they told me $45. Highway robbery! I asked how much to fill just the pink and they said $25, I was in a hurry to get home after work so I said fine. The girl started working on my nails and she said you should try gel nails, "they're better for you". I said no thanks, I've been on the P&W bandwagon for 8+ years and I'm happy with these nails. The girl proceeded to argue with me as only someone who works at a nail salon could, telling me I didn't know what I was talking about and I've never had them so how could I judge them? I said no, I want to stay with my P&W, I've done research on gel nails and I know that I probably won't like them because they're pliable compared to my nails now (plus a sign in their shop said a gel set is $70??). She said she noticed that I had the shiny hardening gel on top of my previous set and that it would be $5 seriously? Why are you people nickel and dimeing me? Every other nail salon under the sun has that included in the price of P&W. Then the girl proceeds to overfile my nails down, quite on purpose, to where there was BARELY a sliver of white on top. She then said for $10 more she could go back and put the gel white on top of my P& you think I'm going to reward you for intentionally screwing up my nails? No. Never returning here again. Places like this remind me why finding a new nail salon in a new area is what I absolutely despise the most.
