I have a trial version of Scrivener on my Mac and want to CLEANLY uninstall the trial version before purchasing a licensed version. How do I do that?
no plus ones
Mark Biallas: James, thanks for pointing those items out. I idid read those sections in the user manual, as you suggested. I'm not sure how much those will impact may use. I will make note these and see what happens.
James Shewmaker: +Mark Biallas I seem to recall that Lit & Lat has worked with people who wanted to switch from sandboxed to non-sandboxed but that my be a false memory.
Jennifer Hughes: Mac App Store users can delete the Scrivener.app within the Applications directory and download the version directly from the L&L site and run that instead if desired. As long as you've run the MAS version of Scrivener at least once, the direct-download version will recognise the registration. You should however delete the direct-download version before downloading an updated version through the App Store.
There's currently very little difference between versions, however; this typically only comes up if someone wants to beta test a release. While sandboxing does limit access by default, the access can be granted (as described in the manual) and does not need to be continually re-granted.
