Are Android Instrumentation Tests supported on Android Things?

Creating a new Android Things project in Android Studio and running the instrumentation test results in the following output:

Testing started at 12:22 PM ...

$ adb push /Users/X/Code/AndroidThingsTest/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk /data/local/tmp/pro.dbro.androidthingstest
$ adb shell pm install null -g -t -r "/data/local/tmp/pro.dbro.androidthingstest"
Error: failed to write; null (No such file or directory)

$ adb shell pm uninstall pro.dbro.androidthingstest

Check out this Open Source Jeopardy-style game for Android TV. Complete with voice recognition, so you can answer questions in the game show style. e.g: "Who is Ernest Hemingway?"

I'm trying to add Alpha support for Video Textures (no dice yet) and I figured I'd post my process here in case anyone else has thoughts.

Current Idea: I added a new ALPHA_VIDEO_TEXTURE TextureType to Material that sets hasVideoTexture = true and adds the Texture to alphaMapTextures during Material#createShaders(). I also added a new AlphaVideoFragmentShaderFragment which replaces AlphaMapFragmentShaderFragment if hasVideoTexture = true. This architecture seems ok but alas the shader's main() method is only called once...

Other idea: I've tried adding a custom IMaterialPlugin to my VideoTexture containing Material that uses an AlphaMapFragmentShaderFragment, but here as well the shader's main() method only gets called once.

I know I must be missing something simple. I'll find it sooner or later... :)

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

Is it possible to allow my Rajawali camera to capture the rendering of a texture applied to the interior of a sphere? Currently, rendering stops when the camera clips into the sphere.

I'm interested in creating a native, open source Photosphere viewer :)

Much love for this awesome tool!
