The chef was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Carlos La Cruz commenced his professional career in the city of New York as restaurant manager in the most prestigious restaurants in the city as Rancho Cafe, Virgil BBQ in Times Square , Time Square Cafe, Gigino's at Wartner Park, Dos Caminos Mexican Restaurant Park avenue and Soho , 55 wall at the Regent Hotel at Wall Street, Megu NYC at Tribeca , The Sport Club LA as a F & B Director , The most Glamorous club in New York Duvet restaurant and Night Club, and at F & T Group / QC Celebrity palace as General manager creating 7 Restaurants in the queens crossing building : Mulan Modern Asian cuisine, Mudan Banquet Hall, TMSK lounge, Ah rhee soo Japanese and Korean restaurant, Rose House The Tea House, Bally BBQ & Beer and Paris Baguette cafe. Working with the President of the Asian American Association and Executive Chef Peter How. Where he undertook his Professional Year and subsequently gained the status of Excellence in Management. Carlos possesses over 24 years' experience in the hospitality industry in “ The City Of New York”. Highlights of his career include: His Book Bitacora Gastronomica de Venezuela in USA, in this books he recovered over 300 traditional Venezuelan recipes and Bitacora del Vino in Europe. Executive Chef of “the Caracas Pop Festival” where Carlos created the daily menus for celebrities, like: Paulina Rubio Juan Luis Guerra Cristina Aguilera The no Doubt group Alice Morrison El famous group Pink flow Ruben Blades Guns N’roses and local artist , as well he was in charge of the food production for 250000 people in the stadium. Muchas Gracias, quisiera iniciar estas palabras con un agradecimiento expreso a los organizadores de estos premios, ALIANZA PRO PARQUES IBERO AMERICANOS, quienes cada 365 dias bajan las banderas de los paises Ibero Americanos que ondeanron representando esa nacion por ese periodo para darle honor a personalidades calificadas, y con prueba de trabajo que con humildad y pasion mejor representan ese pais en el mundo.
Desde el fondo de mi corazon, quisiera expresar mi más sincera felicitación a todos los  recipientes de las Banderas de cada uno de los paises Ibericos , a quienes respeto y admiro, nunca en la vida pense poder estar en un grupo con tanta gente importante,  con un tesoro invaluable En comun , custodiar de por vida  nuesta BANDERA.
En especial quiero dar las gracias a Ines  Valentina, y a todas las personas que fueron responsable de este momento, todas ellas un claro ejemplo de preparación, esfuerzo y superaciónpersonal.
