"+Jay Elem can you post a list of what you've left and why? I'm curious of people's reasonings..."

+Allen S : I can, but I need to wait til I get inside on my lappy; I'll try to explain my reasons but take my explanations with a grain of salt as I 'm never certain I'm doing the right thing. Also, I'll try*jot to write a novel about it, but be forewarned that my explanations aren't the kind that lend themselves to one-liners, and some would stretch most peoples tolerance -hell, they stretch *my tolerance )
Anyway, a fuller explanation will come soon , as soon as I'm off this iPod touch (Another morally questionable tool; one that serves a purpose and does it well).
Back soon.

(Edit: I closed +Allen S' quote ")

“Starting today you can sign up for Mover and transfer ALL of your Ubuntu One data into any cloud storage provider for free!

Without a service like Mover, you would have to download all your data from U1, then upload that same data to another cloud provider. Mover makes this transition much easier.
Canonical announced a couple of weeks ago that it was shutting down its cloud storage service, Ubuntu One, and advised users to look for other solutio...

Secure email service Lavaboom launches.

They made sure to point out that the service is based in Germany, has no ties with the US, and is entirely self-funded.

Rediscover The Beauty Of Life Instead of Just Getting By

"When you see these habits of what feels like never ending complaining, whining, and frustration then it’s time to make some changes".
We can all rediscover the beauty of life, instead of focusing on the ugliness, the negativity, or the laborious pains of just getting by.

Out in the Open: Inside the Operating System Edward Snowden Used to Evade the NSA

Edward Snowden used Tails Linux to help remain anonymous while transferring communications. Snowden, Greenwald and their collaborator, documentary film maker Laura Poitras, used it because, by design, Tails doesn’t store any data locally.

#linux #privacy #debian
When NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden first emailed Glenn Greenwald, he insisted on using email encryption software called PGP for all communications. But this month, we learned that Snowden used another technology to keep his communications out of the NSA's prying eyes. It's called Tails. And naturally, nobody knows exactly who created it.

Just got an email I have patiently been waiting for from nvbn. Linux Evernote desktop client "Everpad" has been pushed to trusty. :)

+Chad McCullough giving you that heads up I promised in case you want to try Everpad. I personally much prefer it to NixNote (formerly nevernote).
