The Jim Beam Tour is pretty fantastic. Gives you a sense of the real scale of what they do. Here are photos/etc I took: http://www.drinkspirits.com/bourbon/visit-jim-beam/

Giving this one a try! I have to admit this one is really good for the price.

I like Makers, it is a consistent favorite, however, it doesn't compare to Rare Breed.

Rare Breed is my favorite of the Wild Turkey offerings (well, to be honest, my favorite from among WT's 80, 101, Russell Reserve, and Rare Breed.)  RB's barrel proof (at about 108 proof) has bite with richness and smooth flavor that is hard to beat.

Wild Turkey 101
I decided to pick up a bottle and give it a try. Impressed. I can always remember going to the 80 proof version in my younger days, not even sure if I ever really tasted it, but it took care of that buzz I was looking for.
Anyway, I really like this version.I'm a little older now and actually enjoy the flavor it offers.Maybe I'm just trying to taste it for the first time :) very smooth flavor with a nice(may last a bit long) burn down the throat. The smooth vanilla/caramel taste on first sip is addictive though! Your thoughts guys? Gals?

Wild Turkey 101 is amazing stuff. One of the most under-rated bourbons out there.

What's your favorite mixer? I enjoy the taste of bourbon straight, but curious what others enjoy..makers mark with coke is a must..but what about your Manhattan?

I know I'm late to this.. I was actually in Lexington when this was posted, at the Rolex, with a flask of Woodford Double Oak.

For a mixer, I use Larceny if I want sweeter or Elijah Craig if I want a bit more spice.

Your thoughts? Been trying to get something new every week! I think I found a winner no matter what price range! It's good

That Kirkland 7 year is not bad either, but would be better if it mellowed just a wee bit longer, it can be a little edgy.

Decent, but lacks some of the rye/spice I like.
