My teenage son keeps asking me for an air gun. I didn't want to get him one at first so I did a lot of research. I was afraid that he would hurt himself or someone else. Than I realized that I need to trust him, because he is going to be an adult soon. I was able to find an affordable, good quality air gun at http://www.airgundepot.com. I was able to find the air gun that matched my sons needs. Their air guns are top quality and are perfect for target practice, plinking, hunting or airsoft games.

Nothing says a "boy in a band" more than a marching tenor drum, right!? I mean they dedicated a whole movie to it, remember Drumline from 2002. Well maybe I am the only Nick Cannon fan left, but it was a pretty fun movie. Involving epic drum battles against rival schools. They challenged each other creatively and that at the heart of it, is what music is all about. So if you see me marching down the street with my new tenor drum set, it is because I am re-living 2002.

I am a big believer in positive reinforcement at my house. A child should be rewarded if they do something to the best of their ability. I see it daily with my two sons. When they are rewarded for doing good, they continue to do good. The problem is one excels at academics and the other excels at sports. I do the usual praise and treats when they give 100% effort, but sometimes I feel they deserve a special reward.

Recently I decided to surprise my boys. I went http://www.quicktrophy.com and got one boy an academic trophy and one boy a sports trophy. Then we had a party to celebrate all their success. We had all their favorite foods and treats. They were so excited that I put the trophies on the mantel so everyone that walks in can see their success. I love making each child feel like a #winner with #quicktrophy.

I have decided that I really want to learn to play guitar. I attempted to learn when I was a child, but I didn't have the patience. The 13 yo has been playing saxophone and learned to read music. He is going to take lessons with me and help me learn. I'm excited for this mom and son adventure. We looked at guitars from guitar center USA http://www.guitarcenter.com/ they are fairly priced and seem to be great quality. I can't wait to get one. (Disclosure:This post contains affiliate links)
