A friend who produced the graphic and creative elements for Google I/O has a kickstarter project to create a childrens picture book that introduces them to coding terms and concepts.  I know a few adults who will love to read this themselves.  Check it out https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1164329758/the-wonderful-world-of-creatures-and-code/

Just saw this interersting visualization of how much data is being generated in real time by the largest internet companies.  It's mind boggling.

Minor league baseball fun.  You won't see this at the World Series.

I'm really excited to see Blake and GoDaddy take a stand for Net Neutrality and the impact it has on small businesses.

I just learned about Lantern, an app you install which allows people in places without internet censorship to provide open access points to those in countries that censor their citizens.  You can learn more and check it out  at https://www.getlantern.org/

I played hide-and-seek with Bugdroid and his dog at Google I/O 2014! Do you want to join the search? #iohunt

I can't wait for Google I/O tomorrow.  While I will soak everything in on Wednesday, something came up and I won't be able to go back on Thursday.  Hit me up if you want to take my place on day 2.

My wife and I went whale watching Saturday from Pier 39 for a 6 hour tour.  We went all the way out to the Farallon Islands, 27 miles out.  We saw 7 grey whales in two pods plus some harbor porpoises and lots of different birds include Murre's, which are related to penguins and are all over the island.  I really enjoyed it, but for the 1/3 of the folks who got seasick within an hour of leaving the calmer bay, it was a long day.
