The gluten free labels on the menu are blatantly wrong. After clarifying, I got very sick from some sushi that was supposed to be "actually" gluten free. It's shameful that you try to profit off of the latest diet when you could be sending someone with celiac disease to the hospital.

One of the very few Korean restaurants in Dublin and a frequent local spot when I'm too lazy to make dinner and want something packed with flavour without costing too much. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The bibimbap in a stone pot and jeyuk bokkeum (spicy pork stir-fry on a sizzling hot plate) with all the sides are my go to comfort-food dishes; the sushi is also very good and they have a nice selection. The dining area itself is split into two main areas (three because I recall there is a separate tiny dining area upstairs but not sure if they still use that). The atmosphere is cosy and wonderfully casual and the staff are friendly. I love that the restaurant is attached to a small regular Dublin pub which contrast and compliment each other quite well. Overall a good place to spend a fun but relaxed evening with a friend or three. The only downside is probably the toilets, it could do with some renovation (not just a repaint) but that's about it.

Excellent Korean and Japanese food. The staff are so friendly and the place is so nice. There's a great beer garden as well. The price is not expensive and the food is absolute of quality.

I work just around the corner from this place and it had been hiding right under my nose the whole time. About a year ago I was introduced to Korean/Japanese food while abroad. I had been looking around for nice Korean food in Dublin and else where. (I live way outside the city). I finally got around to trying this place, and it was the best experience I have had to date. The waiting times were quite reasonable considering how busy the place looked, I guess that is down to the wonderfully professional staff! The food, well it's the most authentic Korean cuisine I have found in Dublin. The sushi is presented traditionally, and tastes as good as it looks. Due to the convenience of the location, the quality and value of the food, it is safe to assume I will be back again, and again, and again, and again...........

My favourite place to get my korean food fix. 된장 찌개, a bean paste stew, is my favourite to eat at this time of year. The bar being beside it is an added bonus. Have tried so many other korean restaurants but always return to Kimchi everytime. :)

I decided to eat here based on reviews. I wish I didn't. It was busy, which is great. However, the waitress led us through to the bar while we waited for our table. I am pretty sure I was ripped off for the drinks. Never mind. We then were queue jumped by others due to the incompetence of the girl acting as a hostess. I am happy to be corrected on this though. To the food. I have live in Asia to several years and have never seen oblong polished metal chopsticks. My prawn tempura was good. The vegetable Mandu tasted like is was filled with a commercial vegetable bi-product. The salmon teriyaki came across as having been quickly fried with zero caramelisation and some teriyaki sauce spooned on top. Eating salmon and thin vermicelli rice noodles with oblong polished metal chopsticks was impossible. The other option was a table spoon. Not ideal for eating noodles and salmon with. No condiments were provided. On the positive note, other people's food looked good, not that I'll be coming back.
