Aug 10 update. Still no response from anyone since I sent my statement in to prove the payment was double dipped last week. Called front desk and asked for Manager and was transferred to a voicemail box that would not accept any voicemails.... My stay was good but my star rating will continue to fall if I do not hear back from management regarding an duplicate payment they took. I reserved the room on a credit card online. They day we checked in (booked 2 rooms), I was informed we had to pay up front. I was OK with that and paid for both rooms for the night on another card. I found through my credit card statement that I was also charged for 1 night on 1 room on that card as well. I have been trying to contact management at this location and have reached James Bias twice. I was told there was an issue with their system around June 20th when we stayed and he will look into it. NEVER received any calls back and when I get ahold of a voice other than the front desk, they are still LOOKING into it. It has been since July 1st when this issue was noticed and, as of todays voicemail to a Don at this location, I still have yet to receive a call back with any solutions. I will keep trying and keep reviewing with stars going down until this is resolved. I am a parent with a Freshman starting school at the local university and will be making many trips up the hill to visit. I thought this would be a great place to call home for those trips but if this is the customer service they give to their patrons, I am now rethinking this.

The new manager here is a REAL jerk. Refuses to hire any males for longterm housekeeping positions as "it is not a guys job." Moves men quickly to front desk though he has much more qualified female housekeepers who want the job. Add this to the numerous complaints of bad front desk service and I think you can figure out the problem!

staff is very helpful and pleasant! room is clean and tidy. thus the three stars! the rooms are tiny and give you the feeling that this placed used to be a motel 6 and remodeled to be this Fairfield Inn. Door is facing outside which adds to the motel feeling.

Check in went smoothly great staff. Went to the room to take a shower and the complementary soap, shampoo and lotion was opened and used! Took it to the front desk and Jace (management? new shift) said I don't think so. Showed him that the lotion was EMPTY! Next time say SORRY! ! So if housekeeping doesn't change out lotions can only imagine what else they DON'T CHANGE!!! Giving 1 star next time, own up to the incident! !! March 12 2014

Horrible experience! Upon check in I was charged twice for a prepaid room. After two days of being avoided by site manager, I was able to get one of the charges reversed by the regional manager. A full week after my stay I was charged again for a prepaid room. This was an unauthorized charge. After calling to speak to the manager, I never received a return call. I called corporate and was told I would receive a refund check in the mail. We are now 22 days into a “wait” to be refunded for an unauthorized charge. As for the room itself…it was small with very spotty internet. The elevator was broken as were the vending machines across the property. This was a very disappointing stay that continues to drag on….Still no resolution.

I would like you to know how wonderful the Flagstaff Arizona Fairfield Inn staff and manager were for me and how well they represent the Marriott Hotel Family name. We stayed 3 separate days over a 10 day period, using it as a base hotel for our first Grand Canyon vacation. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was good and very filling. On our last day, I left a pair of earrings in the bathroom. The maid foound them and the manager was so kind and took the extra effort to personally mailing the earrings back to me. The earrings arrived in great condition and made me very happy. The housekeeping tip envelopes in the room were also really appreciated. So many people never think about tipping the person who picks up after them and that little reminder is very good idea.

We have stayed at the Fairfield in Fagstaff a number of times now. Although we are still satisfied, especially with the location, the facility seems to be starting to suffer from age. For the price, the rooms are not quite up to the competition, and the exterior could use some intensive cleanup. If I was in the Marriott corporate office, I would definitely schedule this location for a good update and room remodel.

I stay at various Marriott hotels frequently and often at Fairfeilds. This Fairfield is the worst ever that I have stayed. Staff is kinda rude, the room smelled, the bedding is old and smelled, and there was cigarette smell in the hallway. I could have stayed at Motel 6 and saved some money and got the samething.
