The FULL versions of the #HTownStories films are now online for you to enjoy at any time of the day.

These truly moving stories give you the chance to learn about our neighbors the way we know them and bring forth the conversation about how we can continue to keep Houston a place of opportunity for everyone who comes here.

How did you make Houston a better place over the weekend? We went to BBVA Compass Stadium for Houston Dynamo Soccer Fest with Direct Energy and learned about the great things our neighbors are doing for the community.

If you missed us at Soccer Fest, you can always make your commitment at www.iamforgood.org. tell us what you are doing. For. Good.

We keep seeing that cities are taking on the challenge of growing the #economy and really participating in the advancement of #America. Houston remains a shining example of that progress.

While #immigration reform isn't moving in congress, we are connecting those who come for a better life to education, and resources. We're keeping Houston a place of opportunity for everyone.

The New York Times talks about this - about how cities are really participating in a Metropolitan Revolution and are being the "engines of our smart growth." Read the article and find out how Houston, and other cities are finding ways to move forward: http://nyti.ms/16eKhRc

Neighborhood Centers is hosting our first Youth@Work #Entrepreneurship Challenge. Youth@Work is an open-source micro-MBA program that takes place over a span of 10 weeks at Neighborhood Centers across the city

This is not just another pitch competition, or business plan competition – on July 10, the winning business plans that are presented will be invested in and will become reality. Youth Entrepreneurs will get an experience that few people, adults and children alike, ever get to have.

Youth@Work is one of the ways we are getting kids to stay creative this summer.
