Many thanks for a delightful ride on U4! It was interesting both from the viewpoint of a streetcar enthusiast (think HBLR), but also for seeing the people along the street and those awaiting the tram.

Today, December 27th, is the feast day of the church's patron, St. John, Apostle and Evangelist. Please allow a quip. Because neither title Apostle or Evangelist (nor even the Baptist, a different person) follows the name of the church, people would inquire, "You come from St. John's? Which St. John?" Jesting reply, "St. John of Kingsbridge."

Because of a good two years with Verizon's Samsung basic Smooth cell phone at $100/year, I wanted to buy one for my wife. The staff at Radio Shack, Sunrise Mall, had what I wanted (the similar but newer Samsung Gusto 2) and easily signed me up at the desired $100/year plan. The knowledge, competence, and courtesy of the staff is impressive. Many thanks!

For maybe two decades, the people at Seaford Vac and Sew have been a reliable source of parts for the vacuum cleaners we use at our house. Our Eureka is old, but they have the needed replacement belts and bags. Never do we hear, "No longer in stock." ---- They have also been great on repairs. Thanks!
