This modern Japanese restaurant has performing hibachi chefs & an extensive sushi-bar menu.- Google
"We always get soft shell crab appetizer and seafood or tempura udon."

Took almost 10 minutes for someone to greet us at 5:30pm. Food was good. Everything was fine until the bill came. We ordered during happy hour, but they didn't give us the discount on the wine or food, even though it is plastered all over their menu and website. I was so embarrassed explaining to them that we ordered before 6 and that even though my mother had one white wine and one red wine, it should still be 2 for 1, as all house wines are listed together. I'm not a complainer for small stuff, and have no problem paying full price for things, but I felt like they were stealing from me. Our bill was way off, and they made me feel like an idiot for asking for the correct price. I literally had 3 bills printed before I just accepted I would have to overpay and never come back. Stay with Daruma, and keep your dignity. Btw, this was our first time here and the happy hour sounded like a good way to try something new. Overall, we were charge $27 more than what we expected to pay, and after the extended conversation(embarrassing), got that down to $7 extra and a bad taste in my mouth. Sincerely,' Disappointed

Their sushi is so good. This is my go to place for sushi. I haven't tried the hibachi. Every dish that I tried I really enjoyed. We always get soft shell crab appetizer and seafood or tempura udon. We always order sushi. One that I really enjoyed is the Free Willy special. Definitely give this place a try. I never had a bad dish here.

We have been there twice for sushi, and had similar experiences both times. The sushi is good, but there are too many fried offerings and too few fresh to choose from. One time the service was okay, and the second time the service was poor. Two things really irked me about the management. I used an electronic coupon (Doubletake - I paid $15 for $30 of food). I tried to use it for my first visit, but was turned down because it was New Year's Eve. The second time (when the service was poor), they took my phone to redeem the offer, and when they returned my phone, they not only redeemed the offer, but purposely submitted a 5-star rating for themselves. This is dishonest behavior and highlights the lack of management integrity. THe only reason they did not receive one star is because the sushi was good. I will never return to this restaurant.

We went for a birthday dinner and had a good time. The birthday girl was given lots of attention throughout the hibichi cooking experience. Our chef was so quick witted and entertaining. The one child was given extra food by the chef when noticing how much he was enjoying it. The meal included soup, (very good), salad with ginger dressing, shrimp appetizer cooked on the grill, (only included 2 shrimp), rice, veges and the protein. The salmon was fresh & very good; the filet was excellent; the chicken, not so. It was overcooked, tough and not much flavor. We were surprised with a birthday cake roll with candle. The staff all sang and played a Japanese drum-the birthday guest was rightly humbled with all the attention, but it was nice. The staff was so friendly and attentive! If I had to make any negatives, it would be that the prices are steep for the amount of food alloted each person, but then we're paying for dinner and a show!

They always have groupon specials but as a word of caution: they allow one groupon per group not per check. So if I have 16 people in my group and 8 checks I can still only use one groupon. It's frustrating. I have never been disappointed with their food or service except when using the groupon. They have excellent sushi.

Went with a bunch of friends. Had the seafood soup (Very good. It was light and clear so probably not a soup for people who like the thick and heavy kinds.) and many different kinds of sushi. All of it was awesome! Will be back!
