LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The ambiance and décor of the place is great especially in Downtown BK . The staff is very friendly and very attentive . The meatballs and Pasta are to die for. Also they brought out a Nutella pizza dessert that was amazingggggggg!!!!! Everything was fresh and delicious . Watching the artistry in the making of the Pizza and how it is on display for everybody to see is amazing.

Last night my family had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant. We sampled many tasty appetizers, relished two types of pizza, and shared several desserts. The imported mozzarella was the best I'd ever tasted. The service was excellent, the atmosphere relaxed. Highly recommended.

The Californication and Finnocchio Flower pizzas we ordered were very, very tasty. The Mela Amara and Rosa Nera cocktails were so delicious, especially the Mela Amara. We had Tartufo as a dessert and it is something you can not miss. The quality of service was excellent, even with a full place on a Friday evening. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and came to our table several times to find out if everything was fine. She also gave suggestions about drinks. Food came to our table in 15 minutes. Our Travelzoo voucher was handled without any problems. We will go back to Krescendo without hesitation. Highly recommended.

Lackluster decor fails enhance lackluster food. For starters--a small, shallow bowl of soup; overpriced black garlic knots; a carpaccio which was well-prepared but hardly worth $15; and a complimentary beet salad--decent but lacking depth. On to Chef Falkner's award-winning Finocchio Flower Power pizza which was devoid of character, and more importantly, flavor. Still trying to decode the desert.

Loved Krescendo! Some of the crispiest pies I have ever had and such a great selection of pizzas, with wines to boot. The staff is knowledgeable about wine/pizza pairings, as expected from such an establishment. The exposed bricks and kitchen where you can see your pizza being crafted really add to the charm of Krescendo!

Celebrity chef Elizabeth Faulkner can often be seen "reigning supreme" is this eclectic pizza/Italian restaurant. The brick décor with visible pizza oven is pleasing. The pizza is phenomenal - especially that won the pizza contest in Naples Italy (trophy on display in the restaurant), but the appetizers and pasta dishes are just as innovative and tasty. My favorite.

The pizza might be good, but I'll never know. The service was so atrocious that we walked out. After getting seated, we waited for 90 minutes and there was still no sign of the pizzas we ordered. And we had been so excited to try Chef Faulkner's pizza - she's one of our favorite chefs on the Food Network! So we show up a few minutes after noon on a Saturday (yesterday), and the place was half-empty, so we got seated right away. It took the waiter, Ivan, 20 minutes to even show up to take our order. That's a long wait, but forgiveable. The Black Garlic Knots appetizer we ordered arrived not long after, but we waited, and waited to get our pizza. Pretty soon, all of the tables around us filled up, and the 2 guys who sat next to us that arrived an hour AFTER us got their pizza! The waiter, Ivan, came to my table 3 times to tell me the pizza was "almost ready." By 1:30, we had been there for 90 minutes and had not gotten pizza, so we paid for the Garlic Knots and left. So either Ivan forgot to put in our order, or the jerk host who claims he is the manager doesn't know how to properly manage a restaurant. Chef Faulkner, I'll never know if your pizza is good because I'm never coming back to Krescendo. :( You might want to consider hiring more waiters, or more chefs, or a better host/manager, because this was undoubtedly the single worst dining experience of my life. BTW, I went to Sottocasa, which is down the block, immediately after leaving Krescendo, and had the best pizza and best service. Forget Krescendo, Sottocasa is where it's at.
