This is not banning a right. This effectively bans a lifestyle.
I'm pissed. And I frankly want you to share.
This argument is tired. It's old. It's archaic. It's an anarchism to the time we live in. It's an insult to the American Dream. And it's deeply personal.
I want to cry for all the boys who grow under a state that creates fucking constitutional amendments that foster a hateful environment.
I want to hug all of you. I want to hug every single one of you. I want to hug all the men who were just about to come out and hear their family or a friend praise Amendment One.
I want to cry for every God-loving homosexual banned from his church.
I will bleed to protect every middle schooler bullied in a state where inequality is taught to school children.
I feel so defeated. I feel disgusted. I feel helpless. #amendmentone . Fuck you.
Many of you will probably never have the feeling I have right now. Living as a gay man I actually lead a very welcoming, warm, and accepted lifestyle. So imagine my utter rage when I see a state, #northcarolina , pass a fucking amendment outlawing over a thousand privileges to couples who happen to be of the same sex.
I don't what to do right now (I did my part with petitions and calls before the vote), and I will literally vomit if other states adopt this. But if you live in NC and don't know what to do, know that I love you, that other people love you, and that you can make this work. Adapt and never quit. Talk to me first. I love you and you don't even know me. I am so terribly sorry for the way our country just let you down.
