I used to study here with my best friend while we were in college. It was our go to place because of the bottomless coffee and amazing array of desserts to distract us from our mounds of home work while we took little breaks. There was always somewhere to sit on their huge wooden porch even though it seemed like every student from UT & St. Edward's wanted to be there too.The only downside is finding a place to park. They share a pretty big lot (across the street) with the businesses and other restaurants around them so it gets packed really easily. I still love it though and we still have afternoon dates there when we get a chance!

The Austin go to place to study and sit by the lake. Good luck finding a seat here though, I fele like at night all the seats are taken by students studying. There is a good selection of snacks and drinks to get. Parking can be a nightmare that is for sure. I really really love this place for the Christmas Lights they do every year. It's become a tradition to go here for that. Love it. Great unique Austin place with the Austin vibe.

Decent coffee (dark roast), decent empenada. Savory (as opposed to sweet) menu is limited to quiche, empenada, and bagels.

This is one of the best spots to relax on the side of the lake. I'm not a big coffee person so don't read on if that's what you're looking for. All I can say about the coffee is that it smells great... They have a wide selection of pastries and gelato. They're all pretty decent and fresh, but honestly I don't believe they serve anything here that would necessarily blow your socks off. What I love about Mozart's is the atmosphere. It's very relaxed despite the hectic parking lot where people rush for cramped and limited spots. The spots inside are a little limited due to the popularity of the place, but you can usually always find a spot on the outdoor patio overlooking the lake. There is also a little stage outside for the occasional live musician. One of the best times to come here is at night, particularly during the mild Texas winter. They have lights strung across the trees that shade the patio and it really is a romantic and picturesque place to be when there aren't bugs attacking you during the warmer months. It's a great place to meet with people or to just relax in a spot just outside of the frantic city.

Amazing coffee....real expresso. They roast their own coffee. Eric was very attentive to us and explained all the different blends of coffee beans they have. We even bought a pound of coffee beans to take home. They had live music and the outdoor area is beautiful at sunset.

Great ambiance. Views of the water. Space to spread out on one of the many outdoor tables. Wonderful coffee. I bought the espresso beans, and they were still tasty ground weeks later.

Located on the water, Mozart's is a great cafe to eat some pastries, drink some iced coffee, and work. Many people study but there is always friendly buzzing of conversations. I was disappointed with the smoothie I ordered. It was mostly processed sugar similar to a Starbucks smoothie.
