First time that I went to Birmingham airport to drop my mother in law of and must say I was pleasantly surprised. It's easy to find had parking facilities and the layout is OK as well. Done nice little shops and very friendly staff there

It's a small airport which makes it easier to navigate. Going through security is pretty quick but bear in mind that they are meticulous so there are often delays if they need to search your bag. After going through security, they have duty free with a MAC, Bobbi Brown counter etc. There are a few places to eat or grab a coffee and in terms of general airport prices, everything is pretty reasonable.

Great airport! Big enough for there to be many flights and amenities, but small enough for it to be easy to navigate and not seem too busy. I can think of no faults! Will definitely travel here again!

Airport and services are pretty good. What I hate are your car park charges. £10.00 for an hour. Either build more car parks or charge less for car parking. Not holding my breath.

Very relaxed airport. Staff is nice and it's always been a good experience when I had to take a plane or land there. The UK border can be long to cross some days when they don't have enough staff though but it's only happened to me once.

Flew from here loads as from Birmingham originally. Nice airport that has been built up over the years. Great facilities and nice runway.

Airport isn't bad however baggage reclaim took its time. My luggage was labelled "Priority Business" meaning it should have been out first on the belt, but rather had me waiting around 40 mins. Not very happy about that. Generally speaking, a great airport :)

Maybe this is a UK thing... It has one main waiting area for all terminals. You don't get any gate numbers until about 30 minutes before, then you walk to the gate, there may be quite a line. Then 30 minutes before departure the gate itself will close. Go to the toilet in the main waiting area. There are no restaurants at the gates and only a single at the gate if you are lucky. As for security: they are very strict about liquids, gels, creams, pastes, or aresols... Ladies, this means makeup! All has to fit in one single clear quart size bag per person. If you have medication that needs refrigeration, ditch your ice before you get there if you don't have an ice pack. No laptops or tablets in your checked luggage. Honestly, because they don't have everyone remove their belts and shoes like in the states, it's a bit of a gray area. Security is always a pain, but I like to think I'm usually pretty good with it in the states.
