Hi everyone, and please accept my apologies in advance for not being more active in this group! I am a commercial artist working primarily in the TTPRG field, with previous clients including WotC, FASA Corporation, Game Designer’s Workshop, and Alderac Entertainment Group, among many others. Current clients include Goodman Games, Four Dollar Dungeons, Postmortem Studios, and more.

I am also the current social media director for D3 Adventures and the Art Director for FASA Games for their resurrected Fading Suns line.  I like to keep buy, I guess! Any publishers looking for quality work, please feel free to hit me up for rates!

I may be easily reached by email at bkmcdevitt@yahoo.com or at Facebook at that same ID.

Thanks!

no real trade secrets: I ink the picture normally, scan it in to get a clean copy in Ps, then print it out colored  cardstock (nothing OO dark), the use watercolors foe the tones, and pro-white for the highlights.

Rejoice, all you fans of Gamera, Rodan, and a certain 400 foot tall, fire-breathing dinosaur (you know the one…name rhymes with Odzilla)! Michael Surbrook is back with a new edition of Surbrook’s Stuff he is calling  Oh, No, There Goes Tokyo!, focusing on that peculiar movie genre referred to as kaiju.

With an extensive history of the origins of rubber-monster movies from Them! to more recent outings, as well as rules for creating (and destroying!)  for the Hero System, the latest Surbrook’s Stuff has everything you need to re-enact your favorite kaiju movies!

So if you’ve got a hankering for an evening of city-stomping fun, point your browser in the direction of

http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/146661/Atomic-Monster-Hero?cPath=4716_6543

and get ready to cough up $1.99.. an amount that was, coincidentally, about the same as the FX budget for many of these movies!

That’s it for this week, folks! Tune in next Wednesday, when we’ll be trading in our radioactive dooms for something a bit more low-key and a lot creepier!

‘Til then, keep gaming, keep destroying those toy tanks and buildings, and most of all, take it EZ with D3!

Playing with the idea of starting a Patreon program to help me finance making a go of being a full-time artist and writer.
Besides the stupidity of LNVCwCStWfZ, i still want to someday finish my "serious" horror game Stained and my black humor game Shapeless, not to mention even more Clip Art Critters to help small publishers stretch their art budgets.
anyone interested? With a quarter-century of productivity behind me, i think i can honestly say i am not going to just take peoples' money and vanish.

I have been following the work of 'thisnorthernboy' (artist) for almost a year and see there is a robot similar to but, definitely not the same as, Mr. McDevitt's Mech (here).

Take a peek at the following URL and I think the subtle differences will be apparent:
https://thisnorthernboy.wordpress.com/2014/02/18/black-stripes/heavy/

(Honestly, please accept my comments in a hopeful, constructive manner because I think today's Elementary-age youth are being bombarded with too many primary colors and simplified images on Disney's television station, etc.  My grandchildren are "forced" to watch that mess for hours on end, during the weekend, and I think it is NOT helping their mental development at all.  Thank goodness Winter is over...)

Day 31 of 30 Days of art for XCrawl, the most offbeat take on fantasy RPGs I think I have ever had the pleasure to take part in, set in an alternate America where the Roman Empire never fell, Dragons affected the course of the Civil War, and artists can’t be relied on to be able to do simple arithmetic.

Where the next room could contain a monster, a trap, or a Half-Orc hat doesn’t want to let you into the room, cuz it’s too exclusive for the likesa you.
Where you may win, you may lose, or you still aren’t getting past the velvet rope!
