Oblong Roman-style pies are the star at this brick-oven pizzeria with a hip industrial look.- Google

This place is a joke. They charge $18-22 for a personal sized pizza, and REFUSE TO ADD INGREDIENTS even if you offer to pay for them. So you're stuck with whatever combinations are on the menu. This is supposed to be a place that caters to people with food allergies - so if you're dairy free but still eat meat, you're stuck with vegan pizza. Even more insulting is that they'll charge you an additional $1 for a side of sauce (because why would pizza have sauce on it, right?) The gluten free dough isn't bad, but the regular pizza is honestly the worst I've ever eaten in 20 years of living here. Its a completely flavorless puffy wafer, and since they're so skimpy with toppings, you might as well just eat a sleeve of soup crackers. To top it off, the appetizers we ordered came 20 minutes after we got the entrees, no apology from the waitress. This place simply sucks, and they charge a premium for it.

Pala offers the best gluten free pizza in NYC. Service is attentive and it has a nice cozy feel. The one drawback, the wine is a bit expensive, but otherwise one of the best pizza places in the city.

Truly overpriced pizza full of air bubbles and expensive "glasses" (we thought they were testers when we saw them) of wine. We ended up paying $26.00 for two drops of wine. Also, we were charged extra for tomato sauce on our pizza, one would assume tomato sauce would be included or they would warn but that was not the case.

I have celiac and went here to try their gluten free pizza. I personally didn't have any problems from the pizza although they didn't instill alot of confidence in me regarding their efforts to avoid cross contamination. I would certainly recommend this place though as the pizza was very good. We went after dark and it was very very dark inside, almost couldn't see across the table where we sat. Wasn't the cleanest restaurant I've been to although far from the dirtiest. I enjoyed the service, thank you.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. After calling and asking a worker about the ingredients to their glutten free menu. The manager/owner took over the call and became very defensive and hostile. She was not helpful at all or empathetic towards my son's allergies. STAY AWAY if you have children with allergies.. She was not nice at all.
