#SpinalDeformities and Environmental Factors
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Abstract:
 Here we discuss the correlation of idiopathic #scoliosis development with the degree and directionality of #metabolic shifts in children. Comparative analysis included the data obtained during examination of children with idiopathic scoliosis and #kyphosis and pupils of Moscow general education schools. We studied the relationship between cytogenetic abnormalities in buccal epithelial cells and metabolic shifts in children with scoliosis and kyphosis. The incidence of nucleus abnormalities and the corresponding metabolic shifts were found to depend on the presence of spine deformities and ecological factors. The problem of formation of risk groups for spine deformities in ecologically unfavorable regions is discussed.

#Pathophysiology
******************************************
#HeartFailure is divided into systolic (SHF) and diastolic heart failure (DHF), both of which result from damaged or impaired cardiac myocytes. A preserved ejection fraction indicates DHF, while an impaired ejection fraction suggests SHF. SHF is produced by reduced cardiac contractility or impaired pump function or ejection fraction. In turn, this causes left ventricular dilatation and elevations in left ventricular systolic and diastolic volumes. DHF results when there is impaired filling of the ventricle during diastole or impaired cardiac relaxation. Increased systemic pressure or stiffening of the left ventricle elevates the left ventricular pressures, therefore reducing blood flow from the left atrium during diastole.

#HairRestoration
***********************************************
In order to identify the ideal technique for hair restoration, numerous methods have come and gone during the past 50 years. Most patients undergoing hair restoration today, however, undergo hair transplantation because of the significant refinements of this specific technique. In a patient in whom it is obvious that a procedure such as hair transplant has been performed, the result is less than satisfactory. Techniques such as flaps, excision of bald areas, and expansion no longer dominate this field in the era of small, natural-appearing grafts.

Recent Developments in #NanoMedicine; Treatment Options for Colorectal Cancer
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#ColorectalCancer (CRC) is a major worldwide health problem owing to its high prevalence and mortality rates. In the USA, CRC is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer and third leading cause of cancer death in both men and women. Approximately 95 percent of colorectal cancers are adenocarcinomas. Other types of cancer that can occur include mucinous carcinomas and adenosquamous carcinomas. Traditional chemotherapeutic drugs remain the major treatment for advanced colorectal cancer. However, due to the lack of tumor specificity these drugs also destroy healthy tissue and organs, which has been the main reason for treatment failure and mortality.
Intrauterine Infections
-----------------------------------------------------------
Introduction:
#IntrauterineInfections are diagnosed by the isolation of microorganisms from the amniotic fluid, cervix, or vagina with standard culture techniques. It is often classified according to location into intra-amniotic or extra-amniotic infections. Although usually asymptomatic, it is the most commonly identified cause of preterm labor, with or without rupture of membranes . Preterm labor, characterized by uterine contraction or rupture of membranes before 37 weeks of gestation, increases morbidity and mortality rates of the fetus . Although rare, clinical symptoms of infection, confer a poorer prognosis for the neonate.
Viral Vectors in Vaccine Technologies
************************************************
Traditional #VaccineTechnologies, from live-attenuated and killed whole-cell vaccines to subunit antigens, have resulted in an impressive generation of efficacious vaccines against a variety of infectious agents. However, several potentially deadly pathogens have proven less successful to the application of traditional vaccine platforms, indicating the need for novel antigen delivery system. Viral vectors represent an attractive tool to deliver and present vaccine antigens that may offer advantages over traditional platforms.
Leukemia Animal Models
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Introduction  :
#Leukemia’s are a diverse group of diseases, which vary from each other in etiology, #pathogenesis, prognosis and responsiveness to therapy. Mainly, the disease results from the neoplastic proliferation of lymphoid or myeloid cells, or both . It results from mutation of a single stem cell, the progeny of which form a clone of leukemic cells.

Osteoarthritis and Proprioception
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Abstract:
#Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic disabling disease that generates impairments of functional health status.OA can cause changes that affect intracapsular tissues and periarticular tissues such as ligaments, capsule, tendons, and muscle, leading to proprioceptive deficits. Proprioception is defined as a conscious and/or unconscious perception of position, velocity, force and movement of an extremity or a joint in space. An intact joint innervation and preserved proprioceptive function is essential for a normal joint homeostasis. Optimal proprioceptive sense and neuromuscular function in the development and progression of osteoarthritis has a critical importance.

The Health Benefits of Dietary Fiber: Evidence of its #Anticancer Properties
****************************************************************
Abstract:
#DietaryFiber is made up of the non-digestible #carbohydrates and lignin that naturally occur in plants; fruits, vegetables, and grains being the main sources in the United States (US) . While daily intake recommendations for adults fall around 30 grams per day, the average reported intake is 16 grams per day . Dietary fiber has been shown to reduce the risk of developing many diseases, including cancer . Current evidence from prospective meta-analyses suggests that, through various suggested mechanisms, dietary fiber may reduce the risk of developing highly prevalent #gastrointestinal and #hormonal cancers, most notably colorectal and breast cancer.

#Injury Rate in #Athletes During #Ramadan
=================================
Introduction:
Injury surveillance studies are an integral part in the effort to protect athletes health in various sports activities. Furthermore, injury risk is a major concern for athletes and clubs in terms of health, safety, performance, and cost. Data in scientific literature must be made available through an effective injury surveillance system, and therefore better knowledge of the factors that affect injury will always be needed.
