I guess this is it - the final post to the Java Posse G+ community. Because it's about the final episode of the Java Posee podcast.

+Dick Wall just uploaded the last episode, which was recorded live in front of a studio Devoxx audience in November, 2014.

It's been a long run (for some of us more than others) and a fun time (for all of us), but it's time to go. Or, rather, we all left a while ago but only got around to closing and locking the doors recently.

If you are curious about "Where are they now?", there are various links to things like blogs and other podcasts that we've all moved on to.

Episode #4 of the Android Developers Backstage podcast is out, this time it's about Google Play services. +Tor Norbye and +Chet Haase's show apparently hasn't been canceled yet.

In the interests of inundating listeners (and because we need to clear out room on our drives before another batch of Roundup recordings), we've started posting all of the remaining episodes from the 2013 Roundup conference. So look for your haven't-gotten-to-it-yet episode list to bloat up in your podcast client in the next couple of weeks.

To start the ball rolling, we've posted episodes on Semantic Technologies and Reactive Programming:

+Tor Norbye and +Chet Haase tend to not talk much about Android on the podcast because, well, because that's not what we're there for.

But if anyone does want to hear more about Android development, there's a new podcast in town: Android Developers Backstage, hosted by Tor and Chet, and featuring other developers on the Android team.

More about that podcast here:

(And no, this new podcast doesn't imply anything about the Java Posse podcast, or the recent infrequency of said podcast. That's just a matter of scheduling hassles with hosts who are increasingly entropic).

Now live: Episode #429: Newscast for Late August 2013
(Oh, I just love that catchy title)

By the way, is our new attempt at Hangouts worthwhile? The intention is still (always) to produce and audio podcast, but we've started doing live hangouts as well because, well, why not? If you find it awkward to carry around a laptop at the gym, or you prefer imagining what Tor looks like over the real thing (I know I do), then keep listening to the podcast instead. Meanwhile, if people find the video version useful or interesting, we'll keep doing that as well.
