I'm glad I put on my seatbelt! I slid off the side of the lagoon. I didn't quite roll it. And for bonus points, it was to the clean side.

"Innovation as a Fringe Activity" is something I wrote in 2008. I've updated it a bit, but it could still use revisions and editing. Feel free to share, critique, and post revisions as you see fit.

Prepare to be blown away. Or not, I guess, not everyone has my impeccable taste. Thanks to my son for the recommendation.

I took this as I made my way out to Bearpaw Bend for some fishing.

Today is garbage day in the bustling metropolis of Beechy. That usually means a slack day, but not today. Someone broke into our treated water reservoir. I can see that they threw a big rock in, but the very fact that they had access means we have to treat the system as contaminated.

Call the police, water security agency, and health department. Get the word out that tap water cannot be consumed in any way and that personal treatment (boiling, filtering, etc) is not possible. Get samples for a wide range of tests. Drain the reservoir, then start filling again to replace and dilute. Arrange for a tank of treated water from Lucky Lake. Deal with about a million questions from understandably concerned residents and businesses.

Some samples may not produce results before the weekend, so.....

And so it goes.

A beautiful sunset over the ice fishing shacks. It's almost like spring with the creek running.
