More drones used by enthusiasts for aerial photography #Singapore
POSTED: 06 Apr 2014 23:05

"Senior Minister of State for Law Indranee Rajah said there are no specific laws governing the use of drones.

But she added that if drones become more widely used or if they cause privacy issues, then laws should be enacted to restrict their use."

"A cheap drone costs about $630, while an expensive version can set one back by more than a few thousand dollars."

"Ms Indranee, who is also MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC, said the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) does have rules on where drones can or cannot fly, and their height restriction, which is 60 metres."

"The Tanjong Pagar CC Photographic Club launched its Drone Series on Sunday to celebrate its 10th anniversary."
