Google Hangout/Chat delivered me a message yesterday with an interesting job lead in it.  Unfortunately, the message was sent back in the beginning of March—back when I really needed a job lead.

Philip Resnik and I are looking for a postoc who would work with us (based either in Maryland or in Colorado) on a project involving modeling of framing and sentiment in English and Arabic. Preference for a modeler, no requirement that they know Arabic. If you have or know of someone good, have them drop me a line at jbg@boydgraber.org.

We applied Karpathy et al's caption generating code to fine art.  I believe this is indeed what Dali intended in this painting.

A simple #Beatles demo for the Commodore 64 which I made around 1992 for the Commodore Users Group of Saskatchewan (CUGS).

The photographs were scanned on a friend's IBM PC with a handheld Logitech ScanMan Plus scanner, saved as GIFs, and then uploaded to my Commodore 64 by modem over a telephone connection.  I then used my C64 to convert the GIFs to Doodle format.  The demo itself is a simple BASIC program which loads the graphics and some #Sidplayer tunes in sequence.
