Slow and steady, Newt Gingrich begins his rise in the polls. This is good news for the future of America.

This is what comes out of tax-payer funded unitversities today: partisan papers that contain no scholarly evidence, and that have no connection with the truth. There was once a day when a professor who published this kind of trash would have lost his ability to teach in American universities. If we want future generations of Americans to have more than a subpar university education, then we must return to those days, and demand intelliectual honesty from those who seek to teach the generation of tomorrow.

J. Lee Grady offers a timely admonition. It is time for the foolishness to stop in the Charismatic movement. The movement must move back to basics, which means back to the Bible as the standard by which all things are measured and tested.

This is an interesting interview. Dawkins contradicts himself quite often.

Terra Nova is one of my favorites this year. This is what TV should always be about: allowing the imagination to run wildly through unexplored territories. The stories told about Terra Nova have, this far in the season, been spell binding. The characters are very fascinating (especially the cool dinosuars), and Terra Nova seems like a place where humans would want to live if they went back into history 85 billion years. Terra Nova sure beats a cave, a club, grunting, and animal skins for clothing!

I'm not at all surprised that this show will soon find itself on the extensive list of NBC shows that have been cancelled in recent years. The storyline is boring, the characters are boring, and the worst aspect of the show, and very unappealing in my opinion, is that the lead character is a woman who seems to be portrayed as a man. Every week I have asked myself, who does this character appeal to? I really don't think this show will be missed.

Why are we hearing all this talk about Harry's Law being cancelled? The first three episodes of the season have been very good. The writing is good, the acting is stellar, so what could possibly be the problem? The problem is that it's on NBC. No one watches this nag of a network. The people who make the decisions at NBC have been a sleep at the wheel for years now. I feel for David E. Kelley. He has a good product, but it's on the wrong network.
