Frozen Niagara Falls

In this beautiful capture we see the famous Niagara Falls on a frosty winter day.

The photograph, by Shaheen Karolia, was taken on January 2nd, 2014. The weather that day was between -10 and -15 degrees Celsius (14 – 5 degrees Fahrenheit).

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge. From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. Pictured above is Horseshoe Falls.

Do you ever feel like your business hangs on the edge a cliff?
Time Management. Balance. Systems. Scaling. Growth.
I tell you what, there's some days I feel totally overwhelmed.

It seems like just a few months ago business was easy. I had a successful Twitter client mining operation installing Wordpress templates for $500 a pop. But I was not growing. I had hit a point of saturation trading hours for dollars, and $500 a pop wasn't getting me to my financial goals.

But thanks to social media (specifically Google + Communities), my business has exploded! I have transitioned from B2C to B2B and I am signing contracts with enterprise clients.  I'm doing strategy consulting and Advanced Wordpress development.

But I'm not here to boast, I'm opening discussion and asking for advice.

You see, now I'm in unfamiliar waters of growth and having severe growing pains. I'm in this place of transition from being a one man band to becoming a small business. It's exciting, but change is difficult.

I am re-learning how to juggle personal time management, delegating tasks to staff members, and developing systems that will scale. These things are not as easy as, "hire a VA" or "use a ghost writer" outsource to "O-desk".

I confess I've been fumbling though this transition. But I see where this company is headed. I know my dreams WILL become a reality!

What are your growing pains? and What lesson have you learned from a growing pain?

================================

While I'm here, I want to give shout outs and thanks to the people that have been instrumental in taking On Track Tips to the next level.

First off, I have an incredible personal assistant +Sue Crissman with whom I simply could not function. She's here with me every single day and I have no idea how she keeps up.

Next I need to thank +Kenneth Manesse Sr. who completely transformed the way I approach business. His coaching will get you results. period. If you don't have a mentor or coach, get one. You cannot grow without one.

+Don Sturgill  has taken the reigns as the unofficial editorial director. He's been commissioned to write a few blogs, and equally, if not more importantly, he's helped me plot a content strategy that goes well beyond one article.

And what about this stunning new branding? The Big RED button concept and logo. Credit there goes to the one and only +Dustin W. Stout

Most recently I have found my Weapon X - the most skillful backend developer I have ever worked with +Nicholas Cardot   AND he is currently working on the mock ups for the new http://ontracktips.com website design. To be honest I hesitate to mention him because I don't want to share. (I'm selfish that way)

Behind the scenes there is my great friends +Donart Nummer and +David Miles for PHP.  +Jeff Sieh from +His Design who created a new video bumper.  +Carey Green who produces and manages the the podcasts.  +Krithika Rangarajan and +Jason Darrell have contributed to ghost writing. +Shawndra Higgins helps timestamp videos. +Aaron Rhoades helps with wordpress installs. And +Nigel Maranan is my long time go to guy for just about everything.
